Sports use to be a safe space from things going on in the world whether it's politics or personal issues. Over the last 4-5 years I think the lines have been blurred and sports are on the verge of being destroyed. In my opinion, this is deeply rooted in racism and politics and now people can't separate the two. The things surrounding the Indiana Fever and their fanbase plays a part, but I also think the social media and the players add fuel to the fire. What happens when you're tired of praying? I seen a video online of a mother crying about how hard life is right now and I really felt her pain. She said "I'm spiritually bankrupt" and I've been trying to process this quote for about two weeks.
