Waiting
In “Waiting” S5 / E57 of I Took a Right Turn: Opening up with our usual comments on the weather in the Promised Land we move on to speaking about the Lord and His healing touch, how we all encounter times when we need that. We ask for prayers as Rosalie faces a complicated surgical procedure. We also remind everyone they can send their prayer requests to us through our website itookarightturn.com. The musical portion of the podcast today begins with a song that sometimes stays in my head for days afterwards. This is a not-so-old old song that has blessed believers and led multitudes to trust in Christ, Through it All. Next a song that has been sung in revivals and tent crusades for generations, Got Any Rivers. Then comes a song that speaks about how our life in Christ should be lived if we want to experience His power, They That Wait Upon the Lord. Finally, we share another of our homegrown songs, one that speaks of where we are as we surrender in love and wait: All Things in God's Time. Next, we move on to, “A Miracle Moment.” This week, we share what is a series of miracles surrounding when and how Robert was baptized in the Holy Spirit We want to invite everyone to send us your miracle stories. After this, looking into God's Holy Word we turn to Isaiah 40:31 as we consider how some spiritually powerful songs are merely portions of scripture put to music and how this singing of scripture is one of the oldest ways to both praise God and memorize His Word. Then Robert reads another poem from his second book of poetry, Floating Through Time, “Pause.” Each episode this season includes a poem from this book. Special Edition - Classic
Here's another Special Edition and it's for the same reason, both Robert and Rosalie are too sick to record a new episode. So today we are offering a classic from Season Two. This episode has been downloaded around the world more than any other episode. In Season Two Episode Twenty-nine of I Took a Right Turn We look into Luke 6:27-30, 46-49. Jesus speaks to those who are ready for the truth, and He tells us that we need to do more than just hear what He says. We share one of our homegrown songs, Do What He Said. Robert continues reading in America's Trojan War moving on to chapter Twenty-nine. This is the first book in a five dystopian book series about a civil war in modern America between 2016 and 2024. Pray About Everything
In “Pray About Everything” S5 / E56 of I Took a Right Turn: We open up with our usual comments on the weather, both natural and spiritual in the Promised Land and other monumental happenings in the world including some comment about why last week was a “Special Edition.” Our musical portion of the podcast begins with Just a Little Talk with Jesus which tells us that no matter how small or large we can take all our cares to God. Next an old song that helps us remember that in all of creation there is no one closer to us than Jesus and no one more concerned with what concerns us, Jesus on the Mainline. Then we share a song that tells that in the end we will have the victory; I Went to the Enemey's Camp. Finally, we share another of our homegrown songs: The Shortest Prayer I Know. We move on to the “A Miracle Moment.” This week, we share a miracle involving my intrepid skills as a maintenance man and God's miraculous power to heal.
