The Pruning of God and the Mountains of Impossibility
Are there places in our lives where we have quietly settled for something less than the freedom and fruitfulness Jesus paid for?
In this message, Debbie takes us into John 15 and Jesus’ picture of the vine, the branches and the Father as the gardener. Through the agricultural language of grafting and pruning, she explores what it means to be joined to Christ as a new creation, and then to remain in Him as the Father continues the work of cutting away what needs to die and cleansing what He wants to make even more fruitful.
Some things in us simply need to be put to death. But there are also good things — gifts, callings, passions and desires that genuinely came from God — that can become entangled with wounds, unhealthy motives and old ways of protecting ourselves. A desire for excellence can become driven by performance. A genuine love for people can become tangled with a need for acceptance. The answer is not to destroy the gift, but to allow the Father to lovingly prune and cleanse it so that what He originally placed within us can bear the fruit it was designed to produce.
Debbie also explores Jesus’ repeated command to remain or abide in Him. The Greek word meno describes something active — an ongoing movement of the heart towards relationship and intimacy with God. Abiding isn’t striving, but neither is it passive. It is a continuing choice to stay connected to Him, listen to Him, and yield to what He wants to reveal and transform.
This message carries a challenge for those places where we may have stopped believing change is possible. The recurring struggles, wounds or patterns we’ve put into the “too hard basket” can quietly become mountains of impossibility within us. Previous breakthrough doesn’t mean the journey is finished, and what God dealt with last year isn’t necessarily all He wants to do this year.
The invitation is to refuse to settle. To remain in Him, yield again to the Father’s pruning, and allow the blood of Jesus to cleanse everything that has become entangled with what He originally created as good. The Father’s pruning is not about diminishing us. It is about making us fruitful.

My House - Part 3 - The Church and The Nations
What does God have in mind when He builds His house? The biblical answer is much bigger than we often imagine: He has the nations in mind.
In Part 3 of the My House series, Tim traces a thread through Isaiah 2, Psalm 2 and Ephesians 3 that reveals the extraordinary scope of God’s intention for His Church. Jesus declared that His house would be a house of prayer for all nations, Isaiah saw the nations eventually streaming to that house to learn the ways of God, and between those two pictures we discover a Church called to make known the manifold wisdom of God to principalities and powers.
Building on the picture of Solomon from the previous message, Tim explores what that manifold wisdom looks like when it moves beyond the walls of the Church and begins solving real problems in the earth. God’s wisdom is not confined to preaching, worship services or explicitly “spiritual” activity. It is heaven’s creativity and heaven’s strategy brought into business, government, education, families, communities and every sphere of society. The house of God is meant to become an incubator of ideas, solutions and divine blueprints that demonstrate the superiority of His Kingdom.
But that changes how we engage with the presence of God. What if some of the ideas, passions and solutions that begin stirring while we worship aren’t distractions from His presence, but actually something the Holy Spirit is releasing within it? Our intimacy with God is meant to produce fruit. As we bring the problems we see, the places God has positioned us, and the things that stir our hearts into His presence, He wants to release wisdom that can transform the world around us.
This message challenges us to smash the fish tank of small thinking and recover the scale of the assignment Jesus gave His Church. God is not simply after people within nations; He intends His Kingdom to impact nations themselves. As the house of God becomes a people who carry His presence and manifest His wisdom in the earth, the vision of Isaiah begins to make sense: nations encounter something so far beyond what they can produce themselves that they come saying, “Teach us His ways, that we may walk in His paths.”
The house of God was never meant simply to produce brilliance inside the Church. It is meant to produce brilliance in the earth.

My House - Part 2 - What His House Produces
If God’s house is the place where His presence dwells, then what should that presence produce?
In Part 2 of this series, Tim moves from exploring the nature of God’s house to asking what happens when His house is established according to His design. Drawing together the prophetic promise of Haggai, the vision of Isaiah 2, and the lives of David and Solomon, this message reveals that God’s presence was never intended to remain within the walls of worship. It is meant to shape people who carry the wisdom, creativity and strategies of heaven into every sphere of life.
Isaiah prophesies that in the last days the mountain of the Lord’s house will be established, and the nations will come saying, “Teach us His ways.” Tim explores what that looked like in the life of Solomon. Raised in a household marked by worship and the presence of God, Solomon became a leader whose wisdom drew kings and nations from across the earth. His insight wasn’t limited to spiritual matters. It transformed leadership, justice, creativity, innovation and every aspect of life.
This message challenges the Church to recover that same expectation. A genuine house of prayer doesn’t simply produce meaningful gatherings or powerful worship experiences. It produces people who carry heaven’s wisdom into the marketplace, education, business, government, technology, the arts and every other sphere where God’s Kingdom is advancing.
More than anything, this is an invitation to pursue God’s presence with fresh purpose. As we dwell with Him, He desires to place His thoughts, His strategies and His creativity within us, so that our lives become a tangible demonstration of His Kingdom.
Because when God’s house is established, the world doesn’t come looking for better religious programmes. It comes looking for the wisdom of God.
