I've been broadcasting for over 26 years and I've chatted to some amazing people. Pop stars, actors, joe Public - and I thought I'd share some of those interviews with you. Most of these will be from the radio shows I presented over the years on LBC, Virgin, Absolute, TalkRadio, BBC 3 Counties, BBC WM, Radio 4, BBC Radio 4 Extra, Capital, XFM and probably a few others I've forgotten about.
If you want to hear any of those full shows, then please check out www.iainleevault.com (www.iainleevault.com) - this is a really humbling and beautiful site put together by someone who is now a good friend of mine, Matty. I was a little surprised when he asked if he could curate all of my work in one place, why would anyone want to preserve my old rubbish? In fact it's really only in the last few years I've fully appreciated the hard work and love that Matty has poured into this vast library of, well, my stuff. Thank you Matty. I've told my kids that when I die, they need to find him and he can tell them who I was.

7 - Christian Controversy - The Show That Almost Ended my Career
3rd November 2015. Seemed to be a show like any other. In fact Katherine Boyle and I came out literally high fiving at how good it had been. Ultimately this show prompted an investigation by Tony Hall, the DG, and got me the sack. Two nervous breakdowns followed. It was awful at the time...but it actually helped my legend grow and I would do it almost exactly the same today, except for the bit I shouted. Sod it. I'd even do that. This shit has to be called out at every opportunity.
Have a listen. What do you think?

6 - Steve Guttenberg
I think this was 2008. Steve Guttenberg was over for pantomime and I found him just so delightful. We got on really well and ended up being friends. I haven't spoken to him in a number of years but I know if I were to reach out to him, he would help me without question.

5 - Leon Russell
Sometimes I look back and think did I really meet them? Was I actually sat opposite Leon Russell for 15 minutes? Yes, yes I did. And it was glorious. I feel so blessed to have met so many of these wonderful people and Leon was a joy. I listened back and he's actually more talkative than I remember. That voice!

4 - Brian Wilson
I was really nervous for this one. I'd interviewed Brian before but there is something incredible about being in the same room as the man that has shaped your life musically. Not only his music, but his story of addiction, mental illness and ultimately redemption resonate with me on so many levels.
This is not my greatest interview by any stretch. It's rambling and that's because of nerves. But I hope you enjoy it.

The beautiful Tony Slattery. What a privilige to have spent even a brief amount of time with that man. Rest in peace my dear friend.

2 - Ronnie Spector
Actual legend Ronnie Spector. This was at TalkRadio and done over the phone. You can possibly here me and Katherine Boyle grinning from ear to ear at speaking to one of our absolute favoruites.

1 - Neil Innes
The beautiful Neil Innes came into chat to to me at I think it was Absolute Radio then. It may have been Virgin. I'm afraid dates and names aren't my forte. Neither are they Neil's as he calls me Iain Bell - he saves himself though! Such a talented man. I no doubt wang on about The Rutles for far too long.
