Nu sejler vi!

Nu går den ikke længere. Nok forsætter snakken, men Ida er trods alt en færge, så lad os da prøve at sejle med. Rasmus tager trappen op til overfartsleder, John Sanger Kristensen, som skuer ud fra styrehuset på Ida. Hvad har han set på sine utallige ture, hvad er dén knap og dén til? Idas redning

At en færge sejler blandt et hav af broer, er ikke nogen selvfølge. Faktisk så det sort ud for Idas fremtid, da broerne for alvor overtog biltrafikken med Farøbroens åbning i 1985. Men ved årtusindeskiftet skete der noget. Ida havde sin berettigelse i landskabet på trods af broerne, mente en gruppe mennesker. Rasmus møder en af Idas redningsmænd på havnen i Bogø for at få historien. Navnet er Erik Büchert.
