Not everything will succeed. There will be failure. But if Malawi had its own ambition and they tried and failed, I bet they would learn more from it than trying to shoot for the SDGs and failing. Because the latter process is is just chock full of, you know, foreign money, foreign consultants, context free sort of interventions, etc. Yeah, from your answers so far, I'm picking up that it's not just a problem of. kind of the research community and the policy community not overlapping enough, that actually there are instances in which the existence of the evidence-based kind of policymaking community in a country is actually actively undermining domestic policymaking.
