In 2005, Sam and Dean Winchester got into their dad's classic 1967 Chevvy Impala, cranked up the volume to their classic rock tape deck collection, and embarked on a journey through, quite literally, Heaven and Hell.
In 2017, two nerds met at a Supernatural convention in Germany and became best friends.
Now, 20 years after that first episode aired, we are taking a look back, episode by episode.
Welcome to Idjit Hour.
... A CW Supernatural podcast in the year of our Chuck 2026?!
You’ve read that right, come join two trans and queer leftist nerds on our unhinged rewatch & yap journey with bi-weekly episodes and a lot of John Winchester slander.
We're here for hot takes, pop culture tangents, many laughs, but also to try our hand at media analysis by picking apart tropes and asking questions about what this show says about masculinity and gender identity, among other things.

All things stated on this episode are purely our opinions and not intended to malign any religion, ethnic group, organisation, company or individual.
Dean is having a bad time this episode, and so are a number of seemingly random people. We talk about Logan's total lack of religious affiliation and Jane gets very German about independent churches for a second, despite being a filthy heathen themself.

S01E10 - Asylum
We are finally recording in the year 2026, which obviously means we must go on a long tangent about cinema in the year 2005.
As for the episode, a lot happens even though almost nothing happens. Dean plays a point and click adventure while Sam talks to a shrink.

It's a fresh dose of childhood trauma for everyone involved when the boys visit the house their mom died in. Jane, being a parent, has a lot of thoughts. We both shake our heads a lot.

Fair warning - we're left wing transgender scum. Yes, that's gonna be relevant.
