What is Imposter Syndrome?? Do you or have you ever struggled with this? . It’s the FEELING of being seen as a “fraud” and everyone “finding out that you aren’t what you said you are” . In veterinary medicine, it is easy to fall victim to this because we are often people pleasers and perfectionists. . The good news? The good need us this ONLY happens to people that are challenging themselves and stepping out of their comfort zone. . . Hi!!!! My name is Erin and I’m a busy veterinarian who’s a St. George’s University 2008 graduate, a busy mama to a kindergartner and a certified health coach that Virtual Gym motivation groups to mentor others. . I am a California native and completed a Bachelor’s in biochemistry in 2002 at Cal State University, Hayward and I wanted to be. Veterinarian (and an author) since age 9. . I was told in my senior year of high school that since my GPA was only a 3.00 that my career path would be very difficult but I let this FUEL MY DESIRE rather than discourage me. . I graduated veterinary school, only to be plunged into unhealthy work environments and working 65-70hrs a week with little time for anything besides working and sleeping. I gained 30lbs in less than 2 years. . . I’m am also a grateful believer in Jesus and am in recovery for codependency, anxiety snd depression having done multiple 12-steps and a LOT of work through @celebraterecoveryofficial and this helped me through a serious episode of depression and compassion fatigue. ❤️ .
