And while they may want to do something to improve their mood, the endless advice from books, articles and podcasts about how to be happier is overwhelming. </p> <p><br></p> <p>Enter an inquiring group of journalism students at the University of King&#39;s College, in Halifax, Nova Scotia. They set up an experiment to put some of that happiness advice to the test. </p> <p><br></p> <p>They recruited volunteers who agreed to try some of the most commonly recommended happiness-boosting strategies and report back in interviews and audio diaries. </p> <p><br></p> <p>In a three-part podcast series, the students investigate whether activities such exercise, meditating or spending time in nature can really make you happier. </p>
