IMMAGINARE LA NAZIONE / ALBERTO MARIO BANTI
<p>Come immaginare e costruire la Nazione all'alba dell'Unità? Alla stregua di molti altri discorsi identitari, anche quello nazionale si costruisce attraverso un sistema di differenze ("noi" e "loro") e un sistema di tratti comuni. La retorica nazional-patriottica ottocentesca possiede due distinte componenti: da un lato sono all’opera “figure profonde” che articolano le strutture delle narrazioni e che sono in larga misura comuni al discorso nazionale nel suo complesso; dall’altro, intorno ad esse si costruiscono sviluppi narrativi specifici, che tessono trame particolari e cercano di dar vita alle singole nazioni raccontandone la Storia in generale, o le storie di singoli eroi o eroine nazionali in particolare. A guidarci in questo viaggio nell'Italia del diciannovesimo secolo sarà lo storico <strong>Alberto Mario Banti</strong>, tra i più noti studiosi italiani del Risorgimento, periodo al quale ha dedicato larga parte delle proprie pubblicazioni.</p>
