The Work of Imagination: Easter Sunday

Welcome to The Work of Imagination, a podcast for the sacred season of Lent, and now Easter.

These past forty days of Lent invited us to slow down and notice what's hurting, what's unfair, and what needs to change. Now Easter has arrived, and with it comes the promise that even when everything feels broken, love can still grow.

Easter is a special day when we remember that love is stronger than fear, and life is stronger than death. Throughout Lent, we listened to stories of Jesus: how he trusted God, made brave choices, and showed love even when things were hard. Now we hear the story of what happened after the cross and what it means to live with resurrection hope.

Whether you're listening on a family drive, preparing a meal, or settling in for the evening, we hope this time helps you reflect, connect, and grow in love together.

If you would like to explore more, check out The Work of Imagination Practices for Families PDF. Each week includes this reflection, discussion questions, and our Imagine It. Live It. practices, simple ways to build spiritual habits that ground us in love and justice.

Click below to download a sample of our churchwide Lenten theme, The Work of Imagination.

🔗 Learn More About The Work of Imagination

🎧 Listen to the theme song, “The Work of Imagination”

The Work of Imagination: Palm Sunday

Welcome to The Work of Imagination, a podcast for the sacred season of Lent.

These forty days of Lent invite us into the work of imagination—the holy work that begins when we slow down and pay attention to what's hurting, what's unfair, and what needs to change. When the world pushes us to look away or pressures us to stay quiet, Lent helps us notice and then imagine something better.

Imagine a world where everyone has what they need. Imagine healing for all. Imagine everyone is safe and free to be. That kind of imagination is powerful. It stirs something in us, and when we let that imagination shape us, we begin to live differently, too.

This is the sixth week in Lent, Palm Sunday, a season that helps us slow down, notice what's broken, and listen for the kind of love that makes things whole.

Lent invites us to pay attention to what real power looks like, not power that controls or harms, but power that tells the truth, includes the hurting, and turns things upside down. In the stories of Jesus, we see a different kind of strength, gentle and bold, quiet and loud, a peaceful parade, and love turning over tables to make space for justice.

Whether you're listening on a family drive, preparing a meal, or settling in for the evening, we hope this time helps you reflect, connect, and grow in love together.

If you would like to explore more, check out The Work of Imagination Practices for Families PDF.
