imhoodie

About imhoodie

Inside My Hoodie is a podcast that serves as an intimate, unfiltered exploration of the human experience, focusing on the intersection of mental health, personal growth, and the quiet moments of introspection we often keep hidden. The title itself serves as a metaphor: the "hoodie" represents a safe space, a cocoon of comfort where the host and guests can peel back layers of performance and get honest about what is happening beneath the surface. Core Themes and Atmosphere The show is characterized by its vulnerable, low-stakes, and deeply authentic tone. It feels less like a polished broadcast and more like a late-night conversation between close friends. Mental Health Advocacy: The podcast frequently tackles anxiety, depression, burnout, and the complexities of modern loneliness. It aims to destigmatize these struggles by normalizing them through storytelling. The Creative Process: Many episodes delve into the messy reality of being a creator—dealing with imposter syndrome, the pressure to produce, and finding identity outside of work. Radical Honesty: There is a strong emphasis on "taking off the mask." Guests are encouraged to speak about their failures and fears just as much as their successes. Content Structure While episodes vary, the podcast generally follows a few distinct patterns: Solo Deep Dives: The host shares personal reflections, recent breakthroughs, or struggles, creating a direct "ear-to-ear" connection with the listener. Guest Interviews: These aren't standard PR tours. The host brings on artists, thinkers, and everyday people to discuss their "hoodie moments"—those times they felt small, overwhelmed, or introspective.

   imhoodie pocast w/ Kirsten 3.2

Kirsten is a good friend who is no stranger to this podcast. Shes been very gracious to come on and play a part in the chaos of imhoodie. Our hour and twenty minute conversation didn’t scratch the surface of what we discuss behind the scenes. But we both understand the absolute necessity of doing shadow work. I'll have her back soon to continue our work of putting language to universal emotions.

   imhoodie w/ Kristian and CamSam

Three creatives sit down and talk honestly about building things without really knowing how — music, identity, belief systems, and careers that didn’t follow the “normal” blueprint. They unpack ADHD brains, unfinished songs, school systems that didn’t fit, faith shifts, and the tension between wanting to create and not wanting to perform. There’s humor. There’s self-awareness. There’s real talk about growing out of old narratives and into something more aligned. At its core, this episode isn’t about flexing wins — it’s about figuring it out in real time. Surviving weird chapters. Letting music live in your head before you record it. Learning that creative partnerships matter more than ego. It’s messy. It’s reflective. It’s three people becoming.
