Holy Ground: The Subtle Trap of Idols

In this episode of Holy Ground, we explore how idols don’t always look obvious or extreme. Sometimes they appear subtle, comforting, and even well-intentioned—objects, practices, or habits we turn to when we feel uncertain, anxious, or spiritually unsettled. This conversation is for the woman who loves God but has felt confused. For the one who mixed faith with other practices and noticed uneasiness instead of peace. And for the one returning to God after trying other things and wondering where she stands. We look at what the Bible teaches about idols, why God took them seriously, and how fear—not rebellion—often drives us to seek external protection. Using both Scripture and science, this episode explains how humans assign meaning and power to objects, and why true peace can never come from substitutes. Peace comes from standing in the finished work of Christ. This is not a message of shame or condemnation. It’s a reminder: You are already redeemed. You don’t need spiritual add-ons. Trust isn’t built by adding tools—it’s built by resting in truth. If this episode resonates, you’re invited to continue the journey with the companion book Holy Ground: 30 Peace Declarations That Will Make You Untouchable, available on Amazon. The book is designed to help you calm your nervous system, strengthen your trust in God, and live from a place of peace and spiritual stability—one day at a time. And if music helps you process and reflect, listen to Already Redeemed by Luther's Child and Redeem Me Right Now by Hannah's Signal. Not as rituals, but as reminders of truth—faith set to sound. You don’t need anything else. God already finished the work. This is holy ground.

Holy Ground: Finding God in the middle of it all

✨ Episode Description Life doesn’t usually slow down so we can feel spiritual. Most of the time, God meets us right in the middle of real life—noise, responsibility, uncertainty, and unanswered questions included. In this episode of Holy Ground, we talk about what it means to recognize God’s presence not just in quiet moments, but in the everyday spaces we often overlook. In the middle of motherhood, work, mistakes, healing, waiting, and becoming. This is a reminder that you don’t have to reach for something outside yourself to feel close to God. You are already redeemed. Already held. Already seen. We explore how trusting God is less about doing more and more about remembering who you already belong to. When you stop searching for signs, substitutes, or spiritual add-ons, you begin to notice that God has been with you the entire time—steady, patient, and faithful. If this episode speaks to you, I invite you to continue the journey with the companion book, Holy Ground: 30 Peace Declarations That Will Make You Untouchable, available now on Amazon. The book is designed to guide you through 30 days of peace-centered declarations, Scripture, and reflection—helping you calm your nervous system, strengthen your trust in God, and learn how to stand firmly in peace no matter what life brings. You don’t have to strive to find God. You learn to recognize Him where you already are. This is holy ground.

A thought piece on Holy Ground: 30 Peace Declarations That Will Make You Untouchable

In a world that constantly pulls at your attention, your peace is not something you stumble into—it’s something you declare. In this episode of Holy Ground, we talk about what it really means to live from a place of inner stillness and spiritual authority. Not forced positivity. Not pretending everything is okay. But choosing peace as a daily practice, rooted in God’s presence and guided by the Holy Spirit. This episode invites you to slow down and notice where your peace has been leaking—through overthinking, overexplaining, reacting, or carrying what was never yours to hold. We explore how declaring peace isn’t passive; it’s an act of alignment. When you choose peace, you protect your nervous system, your spirit, and your future. If this conversation resonates with you, I want to invite you to go deeper with the companion book: Holy Ground: 30 Peace Declarations That Will Make You Untouchable, available now on Amazon. This book is designed to walk with you for 30 days—one declaration at a time—helping you calm your mind, anchor your faith, and create a life that feels spiritually protected, emotionally steady, and led by God’s peace. You don’t have to fight for peace. You stand on it. This is holy ground.
