Maria Margo – “A good morning girl.”
<p>Meet Maria, with an energetic and loving spirit; her chat with me brightened up my day! It was her love for dancing that brought her to China for the first time, but it was her ability to persevere through challenges and trust in herself that kept her here! From dance teacher to English teacher, in the words of Maria “life happens!”</p><p>Even though she struggled deeply with Mandarin from the start, she did not give up on building a life here. Now after having lived in a few different cities in China, she fell in love with Shenzhen. We chat her current position as a kindergarten teacher, highs and lows of relationships, giving birth in China during pandemic times, and her positive experiences and opinions about the health system in the country for foreigners. </p><p>Maria also shares about her social media account on “小红书”, the main Chinese social media, and why her simple and yet much needed message was able to attract over 12k followers already! Acylina Barros – “É preciso saber viver.”
<p>Meet Acylina, a lovely Brazilian woman with whom I had the pleasure of sitting down and get to know in a deep level. She came to China by destiny and our meeting was a blow of fresh air, insightful, inspirational and blissful. </p><p>She came with the mindset of growing and learning from this ancient county. With a focus in integrative medicine, Acylina became a driver for positivity and wellness, assisting people all over the world to heal by integrating their body, mind and spirit. </p><p>We also get into her impressions of China as a tourist, as someone who has been here a very short time and her views on this highly advanced country. From personal interactions, technological effects on society and food adventures, we chat about her personal views and experiences on this side of the world. </p><p>This was an unique and deep conversation with someone that views moments as gifts and opportunities for self improvement and joy, someone who understands that life is our school and the more places we go and the more people we meet, the more prepared we will be when graduation comes.
