Maybe the Clichés Are True

What if the advice you've heard a hundred times isn’t here to teach you something new, but to remind you of what you already know? But haven't applied yet?

"Slow down."
"Comparison steals joy."
"Consistency beats motivation."
"Be present."

These phrases are too easy to dismiss because they feel overused. But maybe they’ve stayed with us for a reason. Maybe they’re not meant to be groundbreaking, they’re meant to bring us back. To remember.

In this episode, I explore some personal reflection on moments and real things that have happened, and how I've learnt through living them - only to have realised that what some of us see are "cliches", really are true!

I share a thought on how the simplest truths aren’t here to educate us, but to gently remind us of what we’ve drifted away from. Why we keep searching for something new instead of returning to what already works. And how real change often comes not from learning more, but from remembering, and being reminded. And more importantly... practicing what we (think) we already know.

If you're rolling your eyes at the things you see, chances are, there is something in it for you.

This conversation is an invitation to stop chasing new answers, and start listening to the ones that have been there waiting for you all along.

Make Life Easier, Not Simpler

We're constantly chasing a simpler life.

But what if life was never meant to be simple?

Life is designed to hold intensity. Love is intense. Parenting is intense. Building a business, growing, grieving, healing... they're all beautifully demanding parts of being human. The real problem isn't the weight we carry. It's the unnecessary complexity we've added along the way.

In this episode, I explore the difference between a hard life and a complicated one, why removing just one thing can create more freedom than adding ten new habits, and how creating space, not perfection, might be the greatest gift you can give yourself.

Perhaps making life easier isn't about doing less.

Perhaps it's about carrying less of what was never yours to begin with.

Life's a mirror, it'll show you where in life you are not free! (People, Places and Circumstances)

Welcome to episode 73 on In Her Alchemy!

I chose to record this after sharing a short story on my Instagram a couple of weeks ago and having a number of people wanting to hear a bit more on it, so... here it is! The concept was around how life will present you with people and circumstances to show you in life where you are not free.

The people who trigger you, the patterns that keep repeating, the moments that activate you emotionally… they’re all often revealing something WAY deeper.

In this episode, I explore how life presents us with people and circumstances that show us where we’re still attached, reactive, fearful, or seeking control... and guess what? It's not to punish us, but it is an invitation to bring awareness to the places within us that are asking, maybe even screaming... for freedom.

A conversation about triggers, emotional reactions, nervous system patterns, relationships, and the subtle power of self-awareness and self-responsibility.
