Het vluchtverhaal van de Afghaanse Zabi - Podcast
<p>Toen ik in Afghanistan werkte, werkte ik veel samen met Zabi. Zabi is een jonge filmmaker. Voor UNESCO maakte hij verschillende documentaires en hij nam mij mee op een tocht door de provincie Bamyan, waar de grote Boeddha beelden tijdens de vorige Talibanperiode werden opgeblazen. Zabi is onlangs samen met zijn vrouw gevlucht. Zij zijn nu in Tadzjikistan, waar ze veilig zijn. Veel van zijn vrienden, familie en collega's zijn dat niet. Vandaag viel Kandahar, de tweede stad van het land. De verwachting is dat ook spoedig Kaboel zal vallen.</p> <p>Zabi vertelt openhartig over zijn vertrek, het geweld, de angst, de hoop en de dromen die hij heeft. Zijn verhaal doet hij in het Engels, ik vat het steeds samen. Zabi's verhaal wordt afgewisseld met muziek: Jan Vayne's 'Hang on to a dream', 'Kabul' gezongen door Dawood Zarkosh in het Perzisch en 'Prayer for the refugee' uitgevoerd door 97X Green Room.</p>

Op reis!
<p>Wat heb ik een zin om op reis te gaan! Nieuwe plekken ontdekken en mensen ontmoeten, of juist naar bekende plekken gaan en met oude vrienden afspreken. In de bijbel wordt ook wat afgereisd. Een bekend verhaal in de veertigdagentijd is het verhaal waarin Jezus veertig dagen de woestijn in trekt. Hij gaat niet alleen. Wat gebeurt er tijdens die reis? En wat kan er op jouw reis gebeuren? Op mijn reizen gebeurde in elk geval van alles.</p>
