Circa 2025: We are all just doing our best out here, and ITA is back with a season of “What I Wish I Knew When,” really so Sianna can share her personal journal with her friends and family. Let’s dive in!
Circa 2020: Sianna is a 20-something Colorado native working in community development in Denver, CO. She's recently discovered the power of recognizing others in their abilities and inviting them to teach her new things - all because of one statement made by her previous boss. This podcast is home to everyday conversations with incredible individuals that she would pay money to sit in the audience of; to watch them perform, play, tell jokes, or talk about life.
What would someone want to hear you speak about, and who is in your audience? This podcast is a means to find this out. Welcome!
S2E3: What We Know About "Wicked: For Good" (we loved it!)
We saw the movie together, we wept together, we grew together. It's amazing how Wicked brings people together - across the ages and throughout the years. We are so lucky that we got to experience this season together!
Thanks for entertaining us as we venture into episodes that are really, just for fun! We'll get back to more serious episodes soon, but for now- fun. :)
Chat soon!

S2E2: We avoided all Wicked spoilers for the last year! What We Are Glad We Don't Know & Predictions for Wicked: For Good
Isabel and Meredith join me to chat all things Wicked in preparation for Wicked: For Good coming out officially this Friday!!! These aren't things we wish we knew- we are actually really glad and intentional in not knowing ANYTHING about the movie or musical, which is the opposite of this season of the pod, and is just as fun to discuss with a group like this!
The suspense is at incredible levels. Is and I have NO idea what is coming and Mere is our resident expert, but joins as our interviewer for this episode to guide us through and not give any secrets away. We'll hear more about her perspective next time so she can share things that would have spoiled it for us!
Meredith is seeing a pre-showing of Wicked tonight, Monday November 17th, and Isabel and I are seeing it together on Saturday, November 22nd. No spoilers!! ;)
Chat soon!

S2E1: What I Wish I Knew When I Was in My Twenties
We all have so much opportunity to learn so many good things in our twenties. Thanks for listening to my reflections about mine.
If you are turning the page soon or if you're in the middle of a chapter - I hope this decade has given you a fresh start and profound hope that we are all still learning and still growing forward.
Thanks for tuning in. Chat soon,
Si
P.S. As a verbal processor, this first episode back was a DOOzie even with 10 different script variations. Thanks for your patience in me getting this one up! I will get better with audio and podcast editing - who knew 18 minutes would take me this many hours? 🫠

In the Audience (Trailer) | Season 2
If you didn't know before - well, you know now! I have a podcast!
Welcome to Season 2 of In the Audience. A podcast made by a friend, for a friend. A podcast fueled, to this day, by late night tea and ambition. A podcast launched in 2020, that also found its end in 2020. (May all the podcasts that started and ended in those years rest in digital peace. Amen.)
I am excited to bring us back for a season of "What I Wish I Knew When" - listen along for first hand accounts of all the things I wish I could tell my younger self. Is it wisdom? Hardly. Is it practical? Maybe. Am I giving my younger self answers to life's most difficult questions? Potentially, but not in the way that you might think.
Some episodes will be solo and some will be with a guest. These episodes will be real, heartfelt, sometimes embarrassing, and fully human. I. Can't. Wait.
I hope you smile or laugh while you listen to this season, because there's a good chance I cried learning at least some of these lessons the hard way. No, no, it's been a joy, truly! (sarcasm)
Jokes aside, I have held onto hope for this podcast for years - five years is a long time. Thanks for being here to witness hope in action.
The first episode of Season 2 launches this week. Keep your ears ready.
Yap soon,
- Sianna & Co

Episode 5: Malon Smith // Hearing from God, difficult relationships, and going viral on TikTok
In this episode, I get to introduce you to my friend Malon! She is resilient and has a ton of grit - which you'll hear in this episode. I was incredibly grateful that Malon was so open with me about her story - from drugs and alcohol to praying the Lord would break her, to her difficult relationship with her mom that has been redeemed, to going viral on TikTok and sharing what she knows and loves - God.
I truly hope you hear how Malon has honored her mom in their relationship, but also acknowledged the parts that were hurtful and ugly. If you resonate with this part of the episode - I would love to know. I also loved hearing Malon's rhythm of being in the Word and talking to God, and listening for Him, too! We definitely talked about things that are near and dear to my heart, and I hope that you'll share this episode with someone who might just relate to a bit of Malon's story.
You can find Malon on TikTok and Instagram at @water.malonn - reach out and let her know what you enjoyed!

Episode 4: Andrea Lowe // Education and the Enneagram (Type 2 and Type 8)
Our guest this week is a long time friend and mentor, Andrea Lowe. She is an educator and a certified Enneagram Coach. She has extensive history in teaching and was so fun to interview!! This conversation on the Enneagram does highlight Type 2's (like Andrea) and Type 8's (like me), and is a deeper dive into a few specifics of the Enneagram. For a better take on if you are new to it - head on over to Annie F Down's podcast and listen to her EnneaSummer episodes from 2019 and 2020 - they are full of great information! There are also a few books you can read that I don't mention on this episode, but they are The Road Back to You by Ian Morgan Cron and Suzanne Stabile, and The Path Between Us by Suzanne Stabile.
Here are those Andrea follows on Instagram that she mentioned: @rachel.cargle and @loswhit. They've been two of my best follows in 2019/2020.
Remember to send me your Enneagram questions on Instagram at @siannargomez. I'm excited to hear what you think and what questions you have!

Episode 3: Taylor Isaac // being a creative, opera, and self confidence
This week I am bringing you one of my dearest friends, Taylor Isaac. Taylor is an incredible young woman - passionate about the arts and life itself. We talk about the definition of a creative, we talk through her unmet expectations and discuss self-confidence. Taylor shares honestly about addictions in her life and how things are tied together for her. I applaud her bravery - if you are in the same boat as Taylor with any of the topics she mentions and want to hear more, dm her on Instagram at @taylorvictoriastar.
Thanks for listening, friends! Excited to have you here. Reminder to share this episode with a friend if you think they'd like it. Happy day!

Episode 2: Zach Gardner // marriage, male community, failure, and drive
I'm so excited to introduce you to my friend Zach. We've been friends for a few years and I've had the honor of watching him from the sidelines. He's a young professional, lives in Texas, and just celebrated three months of marriage to his beautiful wife Kelli. (Yes! They got married during this pandemic - we do chat about that.) We talk about marriage, male community, failure, his drive, and a bit about his work, which I think is so fascinating!
I hope you enjoy this conversation - let me know if you have follow up questions for Zach (or both Zach and Kelli for our relationship series in a few months!) by sending me a DM on Instagram at @siannargomez.

Episode 1: Cindy Carey
For this first episode, I got to interview an incredible woman I've known for 8 years and have been a huge fan of since: Cindy Carey. Cindy is a counselor at Northeastern Junior College in Sterling, Colorado. She has been doing this work for 17 years and has grown along the way, both personally and professionally. In this episode we talk about her personal journey to counseling, faith, and we briefly chat about resiliency, COVID, and college students. Stay tuned for the end where she shares about who she Is in the audience for. It's a sweet story that I'll remember for a long time.
TW: If you struggle with depression or suicidal thoughts, I want to give you a heads up that in this episode, Cindy is straightforward about her experience with planning her own suicide in the past which ultimately led her to her Christian faith now. If you or someone you know is in this same boat Cindy found herself in, please reach out for help at 1-800-273-8255 for the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline, available 24/7 for both English and Spanish speakers.
Books Cindy recommended:
"Outliers" by Malcolm Gladwell - she referenced this book when she talks about the concept of putting 10,000 hours of work into something, like the example of the Beatles.
"One Thousand Gifts" by Ann Voskamp - referenced in regards to making gratitude a regular practice and noting the health benefits of this.
