In deze laatste podcast blik ik samen met mijn (zaken)partner Bastiaan Verberne terug op een bijzondere reis: de Inclusie Revolutie. We hebben samen met onze gasten laten zien dat mensen uit ondervertegenwoordigde groepen kracht en trots vinden in het creëren van hun eigen systemen. Systemen waarin zij zich wél kunnen ontwikkelen, los van de dominante cultuur die vaak onbewust uitsluit. Deze podcastserie is voor iedereen, maar vooral voor diegenen die zich niet thuis voelen in het huidige systeem. Het was inspirerend om te zien hoe trots iedereen is op zijn of haar eigen identiteit. Weten wie je bent en waar je vandaan komt, is van onschatbare waarde. Dit is een les die ik meeneem en die ik iedereen wil meegeven: je bent niet afhankelijk van anderen!

In de podcasts ga ik in gesprek met mensen die ik zie als aanjagers van de Inclusie Revolutie. Iemand die Nederland succesvol inclusiever maakt. Buiten het systeem van overtuigen, maar door praktisch te doen. Vanuit de de kracht van de eigen identiteit en tegelijkertijd met oog voor iedereen. Omdat juist deze persoon de pijn van uitsluiting kent. In deze podcast ga ik in gesprek met Soumaya Azzagari. Op dit moment afdelingshoofd en eindredacteur online video bij KRO-NCRV en maakt mooie programma's als 'Spot On' en 'Gelukkig gevlucht'. In dit openhartige gesprek blikken we met warme herinneringen terug op haar jeugd in Zeeland. Hoe groei je als Zeeuws-Marokkaans meisje op? Hoe was de overgang naar de grote stad? En hoe kijkt zij daar nu op terug?

In deze podcast van deze serie praat ik met Ismail Aghzanay, leraar en een veelgevraagd spreker en dagvoorzitter. Hij won in 2018 de prijs voor Leraar van het Jaar Rotterdam en nam in 2021 ook de landelijke titel voor Leraar van het Jaar in ontvangst. Samen met Emin Kececi en Yasin Yaylali bracht hij onlangs het boek ‘Het geheim van de leraar’ uit. In ons gesprek gaan we samen terug in de tijd. We blikken terug op belangrijke momenten uit zijn leven. Welke keuzes heeft hij gemaakt? Wat heeft hij bewust achter zich gelaten? Ook hebben wij het over onterechte schooladviezen en geeft hij tips aan leerkrachten in het onderwijs om het beste uit leerlingen te halen.
