Como extra ver cosas de Alvar Aalto y Arne Jacobsen, analizamos cómo el diseño nórdico combinó producción industrial con materiales honestos y formas pensadas para la vida cotidiana, influencia que más tarde también llegaría a empresas como IKEA. El episodio además plantea una crítica al uso actual de la etiqueta “nórdico” para muebles económicos y descartables que copian la estética superficial pero se alejan del espíritu original basado en calidad, proporción y permanencia.</p>

<p>El sistema en pulgadas es un sistema histórico, no decimal, que hoy se define con precisión a partir del milímetro (1” = 25,4 mm). En taller se usa mucho en formato fraccionario y sigue siendo clave en roscas y componentes industriales, especialmente en estándares como UNC y UNF. Aunque el sistema métrico es más práctico para calcular, ambos conviven y es fundamental saber moverse entre los dos para evitar errores.</p>
