[…] And so we wanted to use that since it had already been a validated metric, a scale to use. And then we wanted to also tie in aspects of the whole gender affirming care literature to this. Not really ideological claims like men can be women and things like that, but really just claims that we've taken from major organizations like the AMA or the APA and things like that. Just to measure if people's agreement with these things have any sort of correlation to their tendencies to support these left-wing authoritarianism tendencies. And then so what we did is then we looked at the correlations between the LWA, the left-wing authoritarianism, their support for these gender-affirming medical norms, and then we looked at are any of these also connected in a correlational way to support for things like political violence.
