Welcome to INKI Bites! As part of our mission to catalyse infrastructure development in Indonesia, we are proud to share with you a podcast series that introduce different concepts of sustainable infrastructure. The aim is to share insights that would inspire the younger generation to work towards achieving the SDGs!
Indonesia-UK Infrastructure Association (INKI) is a non-profit organisation that focuses on being an incubator for infrastructure development champions to empower the community through knowledge exchange, networking, co-creation of knowledge products and career mentoring.
Hari ini kita kedatangan tamu - Ryan dan Davin - yang sekarang bekerja sebagai konsultan di perusahaan design engineering global, Arup Indonesia. Pada kesempatan kali ini, Ryan dan Davin akan berbagi pengalamannya dalam mengimplementasikan proses automasi di proyek-proyek konstruksi dan infrastruktur yang mereka pernah kerjakan selama karir mereka, termasuk berbagai macam metode desain dan proses automasi yang dapat meningkatkan efisiensi waktu dan biaya pada pembangunan proyek-proyek infrastruktur. Kita juga akan mengeksplor kiat-kiat untuk juga mendorong aspek berkelanjutan (atau "sustainability") melalui automasi.

Eps 03 - Future of Aviation with Tim Coombs
We sorely miss travelling and can't wait to hop on a plane once covid restrictions allow. But with a 65% in decline passenger travel, and hundreds of billions of USD lost in 2020 alone, we're curious to imagine what the industry will look like once this all blows over. So today we've invited Tim Coombs, Managing Director at Aviation Economics who's had over 30 years of experience advising governments and companies in this sector.
We'll be asking him some tough questions including: How will this notoriously carbon intensive industry achieve their Net-Zero goals? What will air travel and airports look like to accommodate the pandemic? Will we see more MnA activity in the market as more airlines fail?

Eps 01 - Sustainable Building Design
Hari ini kita ngabahas apa artinya sustainable building design, bareng Karina Augustine yang baru lulus Masters CIvil Engineering dari UCL. Ternyata sekitar 40% emisi karbon di dunia adalah dari buildings and construction industry. Makanya it's really important for us to explore ways to reduce that number. We discuss what it means for a building to be sustainable, what designers need to think about during the design process, and promising new developments in the industry.
