He holds a Master's degree in Energy Systems Management and Environmental Protection from the National Technical University of Athens and has an academic background in Economic Science from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. </p><p>His research and publications focus on fuel poverty and its effects on public health. Through collaborations with NGOs and UN-affiliated organizations, he has gained hands-on experience in understanding complex social challenges and designing practical solutions for communities. </p><p>At Crowdpolicy, he leads the DIGIMPACT project, driving digital transformation and entrepreneurship in universities through the DIGIMPACT platform. </p><p>He has also supported diverse impact-oriented projects through project coordination, data management, reporting, and collaboration with international NGOs, donors, and social enterprises. <p>Welcome to DIGIMPACT TALKS, a mini series of podcasts supported by Innovation Talks by Crowdpolicy.</p><p>In this episode we will talk about Sustainable Agriculture.</p><p>DIGIMPACT.EU is a dynamic digital learning and innovation platform designed to empower students, academics, and professionals with the skills they need to thrive in the digital era.</p><p>We are chating with Zoe Lachana, who holds an Integrated Master's Degree from the department of Information and Communication Systems Engineering at the University of the Aegean. </p><p>About the Speaker:</p><p>Dr. Zoi Lachana holds an Integrated Master's Degree from the department of Information and Communication Systems Engineering at the University of the Aegean. She subsequently completed postgraduate studies in Technologies and Management of Information and Communication Systems, specializing in e-Government, at the same institution. In 2024, she earned her PhD, focusing on the development of a scientific foundation for Digital Governance.</p><p>She is currently a Postdoctoral Researcher and Project Manager at the Information Systems Laboratory of the University of the Aegean. </p><p>Since 2017, she has participated in numerous European and national research projects, including digiGov EDIH, ManyLaws, TODO Horizon Europe, and PROMETHEUS, with a particular focus on Legal Informatics, Interoperability, Open Data, and Smart Cities. She has also contributed to the organization of international conferences and educational initiatives, such as the Samos Summit on ICT-enabled Governance, the OpenGov Summer School, and the DigiBus Summer School.</p><p>In addition, she has served as a Research and Business Process Modeling Consultant (BPMN, BPR) for public sector organizations. Her research interests include Artificial Intelligence, Digital Innovation and Entrepreneurship, Citizen Science, and Digital Governance at both local and international levels. She has authored scientific publications in international journals, conference proceedings, and book chapters, and has contributed to the preparation and management of research proposals under major funding frameworks, including Horizon Europe, ERASMUS+, and national research programmes.</p>

Manual for local governments" (2021).</p><p>Local government consultant (responsible, among others, for the Smart City Program for Kielce (2023), Comprehensive diagnosis of Sopot in terms of transformation into a smart city (2023)). Sector expert 2024 (mobility in smart cities) in the European Commission's Intelligent Cities Challenge program, advising the cities of Poznań and Gdańsk.</p><p>Consultant for venture capital funds and start-ups. Member of teams preparing, among others, Smart Specialization project for the Pomeranian Voivodeship: Smart Port&City, expert evaluator in the QBE AcceliCITY competition (Top 5 GovTech Accelerators), EIT Urban Mobility Expert (2024-till now)</p><p>Secretary of the Team for Urban and Metropolitan Areas of the National Spatial Development Committee of the Polish Academy of Sciences<u> (2019-2023,</u> 2023-27). Completed scientific internships, among others: at the University of Newcastle Australia, Lebniz University Hannover, </p><p>Visual Interaction&Communication Technologies VicomTECH San Sebastian.
