Integrating Patient Perspectives in Dermatologic Care

Dr. Shahriari is an Associate Clinical Professor of Dermatology at Yale University School of Medicine in New Haven, Connecticut, and she serves as the Associate Director of Clinical Trials and co-founder of Central Connecticut Dermatology. Dr. Stein Gold is the Director of Dermatology Clinical Research for the Henry Ford Health System in Detroit as well as the Division Head of Dermatology at Henry Ford in West Bloomfield, Michigan. Agitation in Alzheimer’s Dementia: From Expert Consensus to Clinical Practice

Gene Therapy, the Future of Eye Care?

With this approach, transgenes are delivered to the eye by adeno-associated viruses (AAVs).<sup>2-4</sup> Learn more with Drs. Courtney Crawford and Raj Maturi, who shared their perspectives on investigational gene therapy, patient conversations, and surgical considerations at the 2025 American Academy of Ophthalmology annual meeting in Orlando, Florida. </span></p> <p>Dr. Crawford is a board-certified retina specialist and founder of Star Retina in Burleson, Texas.
