今回は、岩手県山田町で、8月末に行われた「いのちを守る森づくり植樹祭in山田町2022」の模様をお伝えします。 植樹会場となったのは、山田町の、田の浜地区。 この地区は、東日本大震災をきっかけに、居住地を高台に移転。 その移転区域に整備した「津波防災緑地」が植樹地になっています。 実はこの植樹会場、3年前の台風でも大きな被害を受けた場所でもあります。 繰り返す災害からの再生という意味も込められた植樹祭となりました。
