Welche Reformen sind notwendig um mit 28 oder mehr Mitgliedern zu funktionieren? Regeln, Routen, Realität – was verändert der EU-Asylpakt wirklich?
<p>Er bedeutet eine grundlegende Veränderung des Asylsystems in der EU und gilt ab Freitag: der Asyl- und Migrationspakt. Er verspricht: eine strengere Registrierung und Überprüfung von Asylwerbern an den EU-Außengrenzen, schnellere Asylverfahren und mehr Solidarität zwischen den Mitgliedsstaaten. Doch wie viel davon kommt tatsächlich in der Praxis an? Mehrere Mitgliedsländer hinken bei der Umsetzung hinterher, Abschiebungen funktionieren weiterhin kaum – die EU hat deshalb schon nachgelegt: Abschiebezentren außerhalb Europas sollen kommen – höchst umstritten, rechtlich wie politisch. Wird der Pakt Europa entlasten oder nur neue Konflikte schaffen? Was bedeutet das für Österreich?
