Hosts are chatty, engaging, and interestingly, trustworthy. 26% of people gave trustworthiness of the host as one of their reasons to choose an individual-led online lottery or raffle. 33% said it was because they had seen previous winners. There's the real sense that it's easier to win and that you can trust them more. Unlike licensed activities, there are none of the protections and background checks that other platforms might have, which feels fun if you're playing and buying in is easy, but it means people can be at risk of spending beyond what they can afford.
