He is a respected legal mind in both PNG and Australia and current Head of Legal & Regulatory at Digicel (PNG). As an athlete, Michael represented Papua New Guinea in Va’a at the Pacific Games. Rachel Moseley: Deputy Head of Mission at the Australian High Commission in Port Moresby since February. Rachel has been previously posted to Mexico City and the United Nations in Geneva, holds two Masters degrees and speaks four languages Toea Wisil: 20-time gold medallist at Pacific Games and Mini Games, 12-time Oceania Gold medallist and Olympic flag bearer. She is universally known as the Sprint Queen of the Pacific and joins us all the way from Texas amid a focused preparation for the Tokyo Olympics. The value of Openness with: Teariki Numa - the first PNG athlete to qualify for the Tokyo Olympics. He is competing in the Laser Standard class in sailing. Auvita Rapilla - who has been with the Papua New Guinea Olympic Committee since 1994. She has been General Secretary since 2011. In 2016 she was elected an International Olympic Committee (IOC) member at the 129th IOC Session in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil making her the first Papua New Guinean and Pacific Island women elected an IOC member. She is a member of the IOC Ethics Commission; IOC Commission for Sustainability and Legacy; IOC Digital and Technology Commission; and the Paris 2024 Olympic Games Coordination Commission. Peter Morrison - Assistant Coach and technical advisor for PNG Boxing for the 2018 Gold Coast Commonwealth Games and 2019 Samoa Pacific Games and has been heavily involved in PNG-Australia co-operation for training and competition. He is a Former NSW Boxing Champion and a Trek Leader on the Kokoda Trail. The value of Respect with: Rellie Kaputin - one of PNG’s best athletes. She is a national record holder in the Triple jump, Long jump and High Jump and on a quest to qualify for Tokyo 2020 Olympics in the Long Jump. Phillip Newton - Elite Performance Coach with the Australian Track and Field Coaches Association. Specialising in the jumping events, he has been coaching PNG athletes since 2013. Tamzin Wardley - part of the PNG Olympic Committee team management for more 20 years and has been Chef de Mission for numerous Commonwealth and Pacific Games. She led the very successful Team PNG to the Commonwealth Games at the Gold Coast in 2018 and in 2020 she was awarded an MBE for her ongoing services to sport. In business, Tamzin is a corporate finance and governance specialist and sits on the boards of the country’s leading superannuation fund and one of the major banks.
