costa rica, march 2021: the flight i wasn't supposed to be on, and stepping into the flow
in late march 2021, after a year of lockdown, i got on a plane to costa rica with no plan and told almost no one where i was going or what i was doing. this is where the story starts.
i was about to turn 30.
the universe had presented me with multiple options for how to bring that new decade in: celebrate with the friends i loved but had long outgrown, go to a 10 day silent meditation, or get on a plane and leave it all behind.
in fear and in trust, i followed the voice i'd spent most of my life being guided by while simultaneously half-ignoring—the one that just says, you must —and flew standby to san josé on a flight i was not supposed to have been able to get a seat on.
this episode is about flow state and intuition, about the fear that tries to convince you the magic is gone, and what it actually feels like to commit to yourself. it's the beginning of a five-year journey back to every place i'd ever been on earth, to gather up the pieces of myself i'd left behind.

📍the present: published a book, moved to the netherlands, and entered a new timeline
the last six months have been the most beautiful ending, beginning, and becoming—a few months each in australia, india, fiji, and the netherlands, where i've been guided to set up a home base and close the full-time nomad chapter of my life.
in this episode i talk about writing and publishing my first book, words about men, the intimate realization that the nomad era was shifting under me, and the move to the netherlands.
the book was published at the end of may, and i've been reveling in the afterglow ever since. i feel very much in the grey-area between lives at the moment: the one that lived that story, and the version of me who gets to tell it. it's a beautiful place to be.
i can't wait to be back in the swing of creation and sharing this story.
i'm so happy you're along for the ride.

📍the present: sharing more of the stories of the men of "words about (me)n" — out now!
"words about (me)n" is the story of my travels and my journey home to myself over the course of sixteen years, told through the mirror of twenty-four different men who were and are in my life. while the stories in the book are intimate, deep, and leave little feeling to the imagination, there is always so much more to each and every story.
in this interview, i answer some questions about some of the men specifically and explain more what my feelings and lessons were with each of them.
