Der chinesische Partei-staat als Modell? Ziele und Limits des Systemexports - Internationales Forum am ZAK, 26.11.2019
China ist seit der Machtübernahme Xi Jinpings in eine „neue Ära“ geschritten. Kennzeichnend ist die Konsolidierung der Parteiführung in allen politischen Prozessen und die Mobilisierung von Ideologie zum Aufbau politischer Legitimität und nationaler Einheit. Gleichzeitig kann China enorme Erfolge in wirtschaftlicher und technologischer Entwicklung verbuchen und treibt den Ausbau einer disziplinierten öffentlichen Verwaltung, sowie Umweltschutz und Armutsbekämpfung an. Mit der daraus wachsenden Überzeugung, dass der Parteistaat als System den liberal-demokratischen Systemen überlegen gegenübersteht, tritt China nun verstärkt international auf. Nicht zuletzt in der „Neuen Seidenstraße“ und einer wachsenden Einflussnahme in internationalen Institutionen zeichnet sich Chinas Internationalisierung ab. Ob die neue Großmacht dabei ihren Parteistaat als Modell mitexportiert, wird eine der entscheidenden Fragen für die Zukunft der globalen Ordnung.

Frieden durch Kulturarbeit: Die UNESCO im System der Vereinten Nationen - Internationales Forum am ZAK, 12.02.2020
„Da Kriege im Geist der Menschen entstehen, muss auch der Frieden im Geist der Menschen verankert werden“ Die UNESCO ist die Organisation der Vereinten Nationen für Bildung, Wissenschaft, Kultur und Kommunikation. Sie wurde am 16. November 1945 gegründet. In seinem Vortrag erläutert Prof. Dr. Hartwig Lüdtke Struktur und Aufgaben der UNESCO in der Kulturarbeit. Speziell geht es um Programme, die das historische Erbe betreffen. Prof. Dr. Hartwig Lüdtke ist Vizepräsident der Deutschen UNESCO-Kommission sowie Stiftungsvorstand und Direktor des Technoseums in Mannheim. Der Vortrag fand am 12.02.2020 als Teil der Reihe 'Internationales Forum' statt. Das ZAK | Zentrum für Angewandte Kulturwissenschaft und Studium Generale hat das Internationale Forum als eine Präsentations- und Diskussionsplattform ins Leben gerufen, in der ein internationaler Kulturaustausch erlebt und diskutiert werden kann.
