The Our Father Through the Rosary

In this meditation for the month of the Holy Rosary, we consider how the mysteries of Christ’s life unpack the petitions of the Lord’s Prayer. By looking at Jesus through the eyes of Our Lady, we learn to conform our will to the Father’s, seek our daily Eucharistic bread, and find the grace to forgive and overcome temptation. Let us ask our Mother and the holy angels to teach us true contemplation, so that our prayer in the middle of the world may draw us ever closer to our heavenly home.

   Contemplatives in the World

Celebrating the anniversary of the founding of Opus Dei, this meditation marks the beginning of our preparation for the upcoming centenary by focusing on becoming true contemplatives in the middle of the world. By opening our eyes with the sight of faith, we learn to shift our gaze from our own efforts to God’s prior action and grace. As we embark on this spiritual journey, let us ask our Lady to purify our vision so that we may discover that divine something hidden in the ordinary duties of everyday life.

   Called to the Apostolate

Drawing on the sending out of the Twelve in Luke’s Gospel and the teachings of St Josemaría, this meditation reflects on the foundational elements of our apostolic mission. We consider how Christ clothes us with his divine power and authority to bring healing, preach the Kingdom, and sanctify our daily environments. Pondering the necessity of genuine unity and detachment, we are invited to travel light and renew our apostolic zeal, trusting entirely in God's grace to transform hearts and society.
