Neal O'Carroll spins stream of consciousness humour monologues, peppered with absurd opinions, deadpan lectures, tangent after absurdist tangent and a unique twist on Irish wit, in this completely improvised indie Irish comedy podcast now in it's third decade.
Ten Inches Above Right Knee is the Global Standard
NOTE: The words accidentally drowned out by the opening music are: "or Billy Joel fans are very law abiding citzens."
Neal wonders what role screaming plays in training pilots and bus drivers, advises on managing your collection of scratching combs, questions the wisdom of apps that ignite things, considers a palatable way to inventory vacuum cleaner contents, asks if you'd know if your pet fish had brain trauma, tears the hairless cat down a peg or two, highlights the inherent assumptions in the standard aviation brace position, offers compelling evidence Billy Joel fans are upright citizens, speculates about a cat the listener offended in a past life, defends those who mistakenly believe islands float on water, imagines explaining to cabin crew you're about to crash and need chocolate, and deals with tracheotomy cap management, raw milk versus raw sewage, transporting a pet fish overseas, why children scream, how to tactfully retire a flight engineer, red flag wavers at the dawn of the automobile and more.
