Wildly happy: creating a life connected to nature with Kyra Fingleton | Ep 227

What does it really mean to live a happier, more fulfilling life? In this episode, we meet Kyra Fingleton, founder of Glamping Under the Stars in County Laois, Ireland, a beautiful nature retreat that began with just three bell tents and has grown into a unique space where people come to slow down, disconnect from technology and reconnect with nature, each other and themselves. Kyra shares her own journey from a career in advertising and PR to creating a business and lifestyle that gave her the freedom to raise her children surrounded by nature. We talk about the courage to step away from the expected path, the challenges of building a business from scratch, and what it means to create a life that feels genuinely happy. We explore why so many of us are craving a slower, simpler way of living, and what happens when we put down our phones, step away from screens and give ourselves permission to simply be. Kyra shares beautiful stories of families who have formed lasting friendships, children discovering the natural world for the first time, and guests who have found space to reconnect and create precious memories during difficult times. We also dive into the growing popularity of nature-based retreats, creativity, yoga and wellness, and Kyra’s passion for preserving and sharing Ireland’s rich storytelling and cultural heritage. And her gold nugget? Take time to appreciate what you already have. Sometimes, the life we’re striving towards is actually the life we’re already living. 🌿 In this episode, we explore: Moving from corporate life to creating a business around nature What “wildly happy” really means The power of disconnecting from technology Why humans need nature, play and connection Creating meaningful memories with the people we love Reconnecting children with the natural world The growing desire for slower, more meaningful retreats Irish storytelling, culture and ancient traditions The importance of continually learning and following what lights you up Recognising and appreciating the life you once dreamed of A beautiful reminder that sometimes creating a happier, healthier life isn’t about adding more; it’s about slowing down enough to notice what’s already there. 🌿 _____ Kyra Fingleton is the Co-owner and Managing Director of Glamping Under The Stars, an award-winning, boutique glamping destination in County Laois, Ireland. A former London advertising copywriter, Kyra’s life turned upside down after being made redundant - leading her to travel, love, relocation, and a brand-new life in the Irish Midlands. With minimal hospitality experience and three small children in tow, she embraced the chaos to build a dream business from scratch. Ten years later, her site is celebrated for its sustainable ethos, quirky treehouse cabins, and a magical ‘hobbit village’ that delivers "wildly happy times" to families and groups alike. When she isn’t managing her tourism business, Kyra is a certified yoga teacher who loves walking in nature, wild swimming, singing, and looking for ways to calm her nervous system & celebrate the little joys in life. From fear to possibility: learning to trust life with Devon Kerns | Ep 226

What if the thing holding you back isn’t a lack of courage, but a lack of trust? In this episode, we’re joined by leadership coach, entrepreneur and advisor Devon Kerns for a wide-ranging conversation about fear, possibility, self-trust and what it means to truly lead yourself. Devon shares how his own experiences with loss, entrepreneurship and personal transformation have shaped the way he sees life, and why sometimes the biggest leap we can take is learning to stop trying to control everything and start listening to ourselves. We explore what happens when we move from force to flow, how our past experiences can shape the choices we make, and how creating enough safety within ourselves can allow us to take meaningful risks and step into possibilities we couldn’t previously see. We also talk about: Why knowing yourself may be more important than finding your “purpose” Learning to listen to the wisdom of your body How curiosity can open doors that fear keeps closed Why we don’t need to fix everything we’re not good at Letting go of the need to know exactly where a leap will take you Creating more space for freedom, ease and an exceptional life What AI might teach us about what makes us uniquely human Ultimately, this is a conversation about trusting yourself enough to choose possibility over fear, and being willing to discover what life might have in store when you stop needing to control the outcome. Could trusting life change the way you live yours? Devon Kerns is a leadership coach, entrepreneur and advisor with 25 years of experience helping founders and leaders create businesses and lives with greater purpose, freedom and alignment. A firm believer that great leadership starts with leading yourself, Devon brings together business experience, personal development and deep inner work to help people move from force to flow, reconnect with what really matters and take inspired action. With more than 11,000 hours of leading, teaching, coaching and consulting, Devon has worked with everyone from entrepreneurs and executive leaders to Fortune 500 teams and nonprofit organisations. Today, his focus is on helping people create more space for an exceptional life while building something meaningful in the world. The forbidden plant medicine rewiring the Western mind with Patrick & Michele Fishley | Ep 225

What if the medicine most likely to change your life is one you've never even heard of? In this episode, we sit down with Patrick and Michelle Fishley, founders of Soul Reflections and longtime practitioners of Iboga, a rare, potent plant medicine from the jungles of Gabon that's quietly reshaping how people in the West understand healing, addiction, and the self. Both Patrick and Michelle started as nurses working inside the traditional healthcare system before an unexpected invitation pulled them into the world of Iboga, first through the isolated compound ibogaine, then into the full, ancient plant itself as taught by elders deep in the Gabonese jungle. What followed was over a decade of study, initiation, and return trips to Africa that transformed not just their careers, but who they are. In this conversation, we go deep into what makes Iboga so different from other plant medicines like ayahuasca or psilocybin: its intensity, its rarity, its 12-to-72-hour journeys, and why it's often called the Mount Everest of plant medicines. We talk about why it works on the mind, body, and spirit all at once, why reverence (not consumerism) is essential to using it safely, and why the elders who protect it are sounding the alarm on its growing commodification. But this episode is about more than one plant. It's about awareness without judgment, the discomfort we've engineered out of modern life, and what it means to remember, rather than fix, who we really are. Whether you're curious about plant medicine or have never considered it in your life, this conversation offers something for you: a deeper look at healing, nature, and the parts of ourselves we've forgotten how to hear. Patrick and Michelle Fishley are co-founders of Soul Reflections, the world's first Iboga/Ibogaine online community supporting practitioners, providers, and seekers alike through preparation, integration, and education. With a combined 45+ years of nursing experience in ICU, ER, trauma, and addictions care, they transitioned into Iboga/Ibogaine work over a decade ago and have since led over 1,500 treatments with a perfect safety record. Both are Bwiti-initiated Nganga (Healer/Seer), Patrick known as Dibadi, Michelle as Yakéta, trained directly by elders in Gabon, where they return annually to deepen their connection to the medicine's traditional roots.
