<p>This soundscape takes you to the shores of Rarotonga, Cook Islands. The Garden of the Seven Stones was the departure point in the story of The Great Fleet, the seven vaka/waka many Māori believed sailed out into the Pacific Ocean and eventually landed on what would become known as Aotearoa New Zealand.</p><br><p>Yes, this episode is not a soundscape from Aotearoa! <p>This Bonus Ep of Intrepid Aotearoa takes you to Aro Valley; an inner-city suburb in Wellington close to Central Park, Waimapihi Polhill Reserve, and Zealandia. Relax to 9 minutes of birds singing in the morning. The only reason this episode could be recorded is due to the Alert Level 4 Lockdown in Aotearoa New Zealand. Usually, these birds are drowned out by city construction, the motorway, and building air-con units.
