About INVISIBLE LOSS | DNA Test, Secrets, Father, Who Am I, Acceptance, Intrusive Thoughts
Have you ever discovered a truth that made you question everything about your life? Have you ever felt like the ground beneath you shifted… but everyone around you kept saying, “nothing has changed”? Do you find yourself asking: Who am I now? Where do I belong? Was any of it real? Have you learned that the man who raised you is not your biological father… and now you’re carrying a kind of pain you don’t even have words for? A quiet grief. An identity you can’t quite hold onto. A story that no longer fits. And somehow… you’re still expected to cook dinner, answer texts, show up for your kids, and act like your entire identity didn’t just get flipped upside down. (Meanwhile, inside… it’s giving fire, tornado, hailstorm, chaos, and who even am I all at the same time.) If this is you—you’re not imagining it. And you’re definitely not alone. This is Invisible Loss. What you’re really wanting (even if you haven’t said it out loud): You want to know the truth… fully. You want to feel acknowledged and accepted. You want to see yourself in someone—to finally recognize where you come from. You want to feel whole again. And more than anything… You want peace. Not perfect answers. Not a perfectly tied-up story. Just… peace in your own mind and body again. What you’ll find here: This podcast is a space where your experience is finally named—and where you’re not told to “just move on.” We talk about: The emotional impact of DNA discoveries and hidden family truths The loss of a father you still love The weight of secrets, silence, and betrayal Intrusive thoughts and identity confusion Feeling like a stranger in your own life But we also move toward something: Here, you’ll learn how to: Reclaim your identity—even when your story has changed Process the grief that no one else sees Quiet the mental spiral and intrusive thoughts Find peace without needing every answer Reconnect with yourself—your voice, your truth, your sense of belonging Because healing doesn’t come from pretending it didn’t happen… it comes from finally facing what was hidden—and choosing yourself anyway. I’m Latekia Bush — a mother and woman who once believed I knew exactly where I came from… until I didn’t. Like many of you, I discovered that the man who raised me was not my biological father. And in that moment, everything shifted. My identity, my past, how I saw myself—everything. I tried to move on like nothing changed. I searched for answers outside of myself. I wanted closure… clarity… something that would make it all make sense. But that didn’t bring me peace. What did? Allowing myself to feel the loss. To name what was true. To stop minimizing the pain just because others couldn’t see it. And then… something harder. I had to accept my reality. Not the version I wished it could be. Not the version that made it easier to hold onto what I thought I had… But the truth. And I had to let it go. Not like it didn’t matter— but in a way that stopped it from holding me hostage. Because peace didn’t come from figuring everything out. It came when I stopped fighting what was… and allowed myself to live forward anyway. And slowly… I began rebuilding who I am from the inside out. This podcast is for women—often mothers, often “Daddy’s girls”—who grew up believing they had a complete story… only to discover there was more. More truth. More questions. More to heal. If you’ve ever felt like an outsider in your own life… like something doesn’t quite fit anymore… like you’re searching for yourself while still trying to hold everything else together… You belong here. Because even when the truth changes your story… you still get to reclaim who you are becoming.

12 After the DNA Test Shock: What Happens When the Questions Begin?
What happens when the initial shock of a DNA discovery begins to settle—but the questions don't? Who is my biological father? Why wasn't I told? Did he know about me? Do I have other siblings? What else about my story don't I know? Sometimes discovering the truth doesn't bring immediate closure. Instead, one answer can open the door to even more questions. In this episode of Invisible Loss, I share my personal experience after learning that the man who raised me was not my biological father. Once my mother finally gave me my biological father's name, Clifford Malloyd, I thought having his name might bring me closer to the answers I desperately wanted. Instead, the searching had only begun. I share what it was like trying to find him, wondering if I would ever see his face, and eventually having to face the possibility that I might never meet him. In This Episode, You'll Learn: How to identify the question that's weighing on you the most Why it's important to separate what you know from what you don't know yet How unanswered questions can become part of the grief after a DNA surprise Why your mind may try to fill in the blanks when answers aren't available How to keep what you don't know from erasing what you already know about yourself 📓 Grab Your Journal As you listen, reflect on these questions: What unanswered question feels the heaviest for me right now? What am I hoping that answer will give me? What is one thing I know for sure about who I am today? You are allowed to want answers. You are allowed to search. And you are allowed to grieve what you still don't know. But remember: Your biological story may still have blank spaces, but you are not a blank space. There may be things about your story you don't know yet, but those unanswered questions do not have to define who you are. 💜 Need Help Answering “Who Am I Now?” If a DNA discovery has left you questioning who you are, you don't have to work through those questions alone. 11 DNA Test Shock: 3 Things to Do When You Discover Your Dad is Not Your Biological Father
What do you do when a DNA test—or an unexpected family revelation—changes everything you thought you knew about who your father was? Discovering that the man who raised you is not your biological father can bring shock, grief, anger, confusion, and questions about your identity. Who is my biological father? Why wasn't I told? Who knew? What else don't I know? And who am I now? In this episode of Invisible Loss, I share part of my own story of discovering that the man who raised me was not my biological father and the emotional earthquake that followed. I also walk you through three things you can do after an unexpected DNA discovery: Give yourself permission to feel before trying to figure everything out. Separate what changed from what didn't change. Slow down before making major relationship decisions. You'll also receive journal reflection questions to help you process what you're feeling, recognize the parts of yourself that haven't changed, and determine your next step without putting pressure on yourself to have everything figured out. Remember Your DNA discovery may have changed what you know about your biological story, but it did not erase the person you have already become. You don't have to figure out your entire story today. You only have to take the next step. Need Support After a DNA Discovery? If an unexpected DNA discovery has left you asking “Who am I now?”, you don't have to work through those questions by yourself. Through my Invisible Loss DNA Discovery Coaching, I help people begin working through the identity confusion that can follow an unexpected DNA discovery, reconnect with what they already know about themselves, and begin rebuilding a clearer sense of who they are beyond the discovery. 10 Finding Biological Family After a DNA Test: DNA Makes You Related, But What Makes You Family?
What happens when a DNA surprise leads you to an entire biological family you never knew? Finding biological relatives can bring excitement, answers, and connection—but it can also bring grief, uncertainty, fear of rejection, and questions about where you belong. In this episode of Invisible Loss, I share my journey of receiving a message on Ancestry from a young woman who wanted to know how we were related. When I saw her last name, I asked one question that would change everything: “Do you know a man by the name of Clifford Malloyd?” Her answer opened the door to the biological family I had spent years wondering about. I discovered brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, cousins, and people who actually knew my biological father and could share pictures and stories about the man I never had the opportunity to meet. But finding biological family isn't only about finding names on a family tree. It's also about learning how to navigate relationships with people who may share your DNA but haven't shared your life. In This Episode, We Talk About: The Ancestry message that connected me to my biological father's family The emotions that can come with finding biological relatives Why a DNA connection doesn't automatically create an emotional relationship Looking for pieces of yourself in your newly discovered family Grieving the years and relationships you didn't get to have Understanding that every biological family may respond differently Giving new relationships time and space to develop Learning that you can appreciate what you've found while still grieving what you've lost Healing Reminder Finding them was the discovery. Getting to know them is the journey. You don't have to immediately know where everyone fits into your life. Give yourself permission to move at your own pace, honor your emotions, establish boundaries when needed, and allow relationships to develop naturally. Reflection Question What do I want my relationship with my biological family to look like? Consider what you hope for, what you need, and what you are willing to give yourself permission to experience as these relationships unfold. 📖 Read My Story If my journey resonates with you and you'd like to learn more about my personal experience of discovering the truth about my biological father, you can purchase my book: Stolen From Me: A Daughter's Loss Available on Amazon:https://www.amazon.com/Stolen-Me-Daughters-Latekia-Bush/dp/B0GMRFHGCH 💜 Remember Your biological family may hold pieces of your history, but you still get to decide how those pieces become part of your life today. Your DNA discovery may have changed what you know about where you came from, but you still get to decide who you are becoming. Thank you for listening to Invisible Loss. If this episode spoke to you, consider sharing it with someone who may be navigating their own DNA surprise or biological family discovery.

09 Grieving the Lost Years After a DNA Test: Mourning the Time You Can't Get Back
What happens when a DNA surprise reveals not only the truth about your biological identity—but also all the years and moments you can never get back? In this episode of Invisible Loss, I’m talking about the grief of the lost years—the birthdays, holidays, conversations, relationships, and ordinary moments that could have happened if you had known the truth sooner. I’ll also share a deeply personal part of my own story: discovering that my biological father and I had lived in the same small city. When I learned that he was a preacher with a church right there in the city where I lived, I couldn’t help but wonder: Did we ever cross paths and not know it? As a young girl and teenager, I loved going to church. After learning that my biological father was a preacher, I began thinking about everything we could have shared. Could I have attended his church? Could he have taught me the Bible? Could we have discovered our shared love of faith together? Those questions became part of my grief because my father didn’t know I existed, and I didn’t know he was my biological father. Neither of us had the opportunity to choose each other because we didn’t know the truth. In this episode, we’ll talk about why you can grieve a relationship you never had, how the “what ifs” can keep you emotionally connected to the past, and why grieving lost time can also mean grieving the choices and opportunities you never received. We’ll also explore how to acknowledge what could have been without allowing the years you lost to take away from the life you still have in front of you. In This Episode, We Talk About: Grieving years you can never get back Mourning memories you never had the opportunity to create The emotional weight of wondering “What if I had known sooner?” Grieving the choice you never had Naming exactly what your lost years represent Making peace with unanswered questions Honoring what was lost while making room for what is still possible Learning to live in the present without denying the significance of the past Reflection Question When you think about your own lost years, what are you really grieving? Is it the person? The relationship? The memories you never made? The questions you never got to ask? Or the choice you never had? Take some time to name it. Sometimes healing begins when we finally put words to what we've been carrying. Remember Healing doesn't give us the lost years back. But healing can help us acknowledge what those years meant, grieve what we didn't get to experience, and begin choosing what we will do with the time and truth we have now. The past may contain years we cannot recover, but our healing is happening in the life we still have in front of us. 📖 Get My Book If my story resonates with you and you'd like to learn more about my personal journey of discovering the truth about my biological father, get your copy of: Stolen From Me: A Daughter's Loss by Latekia Bush Available on Amazon. 👉 Buy the book here: https://www.amazon.com/Stolen-Me-Daughters-Latekia-Bush/dp/B0GMRFHGCH/ref=sr_1_1?crid=1DRJ7XJ6L732P&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.Z6wKMVjXi8BnVSYrLo1JAc6vZ0zi6HhkQQUh3tScphrVL35FxlxoPt0FBAbWq22Jy2e9HIx8I3wogrS59wX5HNjPkCFbzHvonqXSPfARS4V_5_aWP0uoKevdPYsiisvf2RtCln1D58ZSzD1KUj5RBFz-UoS153i14pSkw9grxGiDrm0FcYE_D5VaJzXf2WeCU7AcCtFoAO--rG2y1-vPefWvNOSUWuohqkFtiRzmD-8t_9YvtQRCFpEFxz0B9WmhyebKzRqoeds1hlLzZfOpqg-zHUcxPbJ0yfkAMTQJNb0.k00ksR4gV3CX4phiSB4fk-XFpxKYf4f30i7t961vyqU&dib_tag=se&keywords=latekia+bush&qid=1790169408&sprefix=latekia+bus%2Caps%2C457&sr=8-1 💜 Join the Invisible Loss Community If an unexpected DNA discovery has changed your story, you don't have to process all of those emotions alone. 08 Belonging After a DNA Test: Where Do I Fit After Discovering My Biological Father Family?
Where do I belong now? A DNA surprise can change more than what you know about your biological family. It can change the way you see your place within the family you've always known. In this episode of Invisible Loss, we're talking about belonging after a DNA surprise and the complicated emotions that can come when your family story suddenly changes. I share my personal experience of going from believing my siblings and I shared the same mother and father to discovering that biologically, we only shared the same mother. Although they were still my siblings and our history together hadn't changed, the discovery caused me to wonder: Do they see me differently now? And as I began discovering my biological father's family, another question surfaced: If I'm not who I thought I was in the family I've always known, where will I belong in the family I'm just discovering? I also share the emotional journey of receiving a message on Ancestry.com from a young woman who turned out to be my biological niece, finally seeing a picture of my biological father, and preparing to meet his family for the first time. On the very day I was going to meet them, something unexpected happened—the niece who first contacted me and I crossed paths before the planned family gathering. We recognized one another, hugged, and cried. Later that day, I was afraid to walk into a family I had never known, so I asked the sisters I grew up with to come with me. And they did. I walked toward the family I had just discovered with the family I had always known standing beside me. That experience helped me begin to understand something important about belonging: I didn't have to choose one family in order to belong to the other. My heart could hold space for both. In This Episode, We'll Talk About: Why a DNA surprise can disrupt your sense of belonging Why you may begin wondering whether your family sees you differently The difference between biological connection and emotional belonging Why sharing DNA doesn't automatically create a sense of belonging The fear of acceptance or rejection from newly discovered family Why wanting to know your biological family doesn't mean you love the family you've always known any less How to begin defining what belonging means for you Why someone else's acceptance or rejection does not determine your worth Reflection Questions Take some time after listening and ask yourself: Where has my DNA surprise caused me to question my belonging? Am I afraid that accepting one part of my family means rejecting another? What relationships make me feel seen, loved, and accepted for who I am? What would it look like for me to give myself permission to belong without waiting for someone else to give me that permission? Remember Your DNA surprise may have changed your understanding of where you come from, but it doesn't erase the relationships, memories, and experiences that helped shape who you are. You don't have to choose one part of your story over another. Your heart can hold space for both. 07 Self Trust After a DNA Test: How Do You Trust Yourself Again After a Family Secret?
What happens when a DNA surprise doesn't only make you question the people around you—but also makes you question yourself? When something you've believed about your life for years turns out not to be true, you may begin questioning your memories, your feelings, your judgment, and even your ability to trust yourself. In this episode of Invisible Loss, I talk about self-trust after a DNA surprise and why discovering a hidden truth about your biological identity can leave you second-guessing yourself. I also take you back to a powerful moment from my childhood. I was standing in the kitchen watching the daddy who raised me fix something behind the stove. When we made eye contact, the words suddenly came out of my mouth: "You are not my father." I had no proof. No one had told me anything. I was just a little girl. I share what happened afterward, how my daddy convinced me that he was my father, and how I walked away believing him—yet still found myself sometimes looking at other men and wondering if one of them could be my father. Years later, after learning the truth, that childhood memory took on an entirely different meaning. In This Episode, You'll Learn: What self-trust really means How a DNA surprise can cause you to question yourself Why you shouldn't blame yourself for not knowing a truth that was kept from you The difference between honoring your feelings and assuming every feeling is a fact How to stop interrogating your past self Simple ways to begin rebuilding trust in your own thoughts, feelings, and decisions One of the most important things I want you to remember is this: You could only make decisions based on the information you had at the time. Someone else's decision to keep a secret from you does not mean you failed yourself. Healing isn't only about discovering the truth about your past. It's also about learning to trust yourself with where you're going next. Reflection Question Now that I know what I know today, how can I begin showing myself that I can trust me? 💙 Join the Invisible Loss Email Community You don't have to end your healing journey when the episode ends. 06 Acceptance After a DNA Test: Letting Go of The Longing For a Father I'll Never Meet
What does acceptance really mean after a DNA surprise changes the story you thought you knew? For years, I held on to the hope of finding and meeting my biological father. I longed to know who he was, to see his face, and at one point, I remember asking Spirit to please just let me see a picture of him. In the beginning, giving up hope wasn't an option for me. Even the thought of letting go brought feelings of uneasiness and irritation. I wasn't ready. But when I turned 45, something shifted. I had to give myself a reality check. I had to look at the years that had passed, go within myself, and make peace with my soul about the possibility that maybe it wasn't meant for me to meet my biological father in this lifetime. I didn't know then that he had already passed away. In this episode of Invisible Loss, I share that deeply personal part of my journey and what it taught me about acceptance, hope, longing, grief, and letting go of what we cannot control. We'll talk about the difference between acceptance and approval, why letting go can sometimes feel like giving up, and how we can grieve the possibilities we once held onto without allowing them to keep us emotionally stuck. You'll also learn how to begin asking yourself: Is my hope helping me live, or is my hope keeping me waiting? In This Episode, You'll Hear About: What acceptance really means after a DNA surprise Why acceptance does not mean approving of what happened My longing to find, meet, and even just see a picture of my biological father Why giving up hope initially wasn't an option for me The reality check I experienced when I turned 50 Making peace with the possibility of never meeting my biological father The difference between letting go and giving up Grieving the relationship and moments that never had the opportunity to happen How hope can sometimes turn into emotional waiting Making peace with what you cannot control A healing exercise to help you explore your own hope, reality, and peace Healing Reflection Take some time after this episode and ask yourself: What am I still hoping for? Why does the thought of letting it go make me uncomfortable? Has my hope been helping me live—or has it kept part of me waiting? What would making peace with my own soul look like for me? Acceptance doesn't mean that what happened was okay. It doesn't mean that you stop caring. And it doesn't mean that what you longed for didn't matter. Sometimes acceptance is simply releasing the fight with what you cannot control so you can reclaim the life that is still yours to live. If this episode speaks to you, share it with someone who may be carrying an invisible loss of their own. And remember: your grief doesn't have to be visible to be real.

05 Who Am I? Reclaiming Your Identity After a DNA Surprise
Who am I now? It’s a question many people find themselves asking after a DNA surprise or discovering that the man who raised them is not their biological father. In this episode of Invisible Loss, Latekia Bush explores the identity confusion that can happen when a hidden family secret changes the story you believed about yourself. Latekia also shares a deeply personal part of her own journey—questioning whether the character, values, and lessons of the father who raised her had become part of her identity, even though they did not share the same DNA. How much of who we are comes from biology? How much comes from the people who raised and loved us? And when everything you thought you knew about where you came from changes, how do you reclaim your identity? In this episode, you’ll learn practical steps for separating your identity from the family secret, recognizing the parts of yourself that have always been yours, honoring the people who helped shape you, telling your story, and choosing who you want to become. Because a DNA surprise may change what you know about your story—but it doesn’t get to decide who you are. Your story may have changed, but your worth never did.

04 Intrusive Thoughts After a DNA Discovery: Why You Can't Stop Thinking About Finding Your Biological Father
What if the hardest part of discovering a family secret isn't the truth... but the thoughts that won't stop afterward? After learning that the man who raised me was not my biological father, I entered one of the darkest seasons of my life. The questions never seemed to stop. Who is my biological father? Does he know I exist? Why didn't anyone tell me? Why am I a secret? With every unanswered question came another wave of pain. It felt as though each intrusive thought was another match being struck, and with every strike, the fire inside my soul grew hotter. In this deeply personal episode, I take you into what I call "the cocoon"—a season of overwhelming grief, relentless intrusive thoughts, isolation, and emotional pain that affected my mind, body, and spirit. I share how the pain became so intense that I spent days, weeks, and years returning to tears, rolled across my bedroom floor, became physically sick from the emotional weight I was carrying, and desperately searched for peace through prayer, reading my Bible, and listening to gospel music. I also share the turning point in my healing: reaching out to someone I trusted, listening for the guidance of the Spirit, making a difficult phone call to my mother, and discovering that healing often begins before every answer is found. Finally, I talk about the importance of balance—how one trusted conversation helped me understand that healing isn't only spiritual. Sometimes we also need to reconnect with everyday life, relationships, rest, and simple moments of joy. In this episode, you'll learn: What intrusive thoughts are and why they can become so persistent after a DNA discovery or hidden family secret. Why identity-based grief can create relentless questions that feel impossible to quiet. How unresolved questions can intensify emotional pain. Why reaching out to someone you trust can be an important part of healing. How faith, prayer, and spiritual guidance helped me during one of the darkest seasons of my life. Why healing often requires balance between our spiritual, emotional, mental, and everyday lives. How peace can begin before every question is answered. Reflection Questions What unanswered questions keep replaying in your mind? What emotions do those questions bring to the surface? Have you been carrying your grief alone? What is one small step you can take this week toward healing? Is there someone you trust that you can reach out to today? What might balance look like in your own healing journey? Key Takeaway Intrusive thoughts are more than repetitive questions. They can be the mind's attempt to make sense of an identity that has been shaken by hidden truths and unanswered questions. While the search for answers is understandable, healing doesn't always begin when every answer is found. Sometimes it begins with acknowledging your pain, reaching out for support, and taking one faithful step at a time. Thank you for listening to Invisible Loss. If today's episode encouraged you, please consider following the podcast, leaving a review, and sharing it with someone who may be navigating the invisible grief of a DNA discovery, hidden family secret, or identity loss. Remember: Not all grief comes from death. Some grief comes from discovering that the story you've always believed about yourself was never the whole story.

03 Why a DNA Test Can Cause Identity Confusion and Emotional Grief
Why a DNA Test Can Cause Identity Confusion and Emotional Grief What happens when one conversation changes everything you thought you knew about yourself? In this deeply personal episode of Invisible Loss, I share the phone call that changed my life forever. After a friend revealed a secret she had heard about my family, I found myself asking a question I never imagined would reshape my identity: "Is George really my father?" That question led to a series of phone calls with my mother, three agonizing days of waiting for answers, and the beginning of an emotional journey that would eventually lead me to discover that the man who raised me was not my biological father. While many people think of DNA tests as a way to learn about ancestry or connect with relatives, few talk about the emotional impact these discoveries can have. A DNA test—or the revelation of a hidden family secret—can challenge your identity, change your understanding of your family, and bring a type of grief that often goes unseen. In this episode, we explore why identity confusion happens, why these discoveries can trigger emotional grief, and how to begin healing after the story you've always believed about yourself suddenly changes. In This Episode You'll Learn: Why a DNA test can trigger identity confusion How hidden family secrets affect your sense of self Why emotional grief can occur even when no one has died How unanswered questions can lead to intrusive thoughts Why your emotional response is a normal reaction to an identity-changing discovery Practical steps for beginning your healing journey with self-compassion Healing Reflection Take a few moments after listening to reflect on these questions: What emotions came up for me during this episode? What part of my story feels uncertain right now? What would it look like to offer myself compassion instead of judgment? What is one small step I can take toward healing this week? Remember Your story may have changed. But your worth has not. Healing doesn't require having every answer today. It begins by giving yourself permission to feel, to grieve, to ask questions, and to embrace your story one truth at a time. If This Episode Helped You If this conversation resonated with you, please consider subscribing to Invisible Loss and leaving a review. 02 When a Mother Keeps a Secret About Who Her Child's Father Is: The Emotional Impact No One Talks About
When a Mother Keeps a Secret About a Child's Father: The Emotional Impact No One Talks About Have you ever felt emotionally distant from your mother but never understood why? Did conversations feel awkward, uncomfortable, or disconnected no matter how hard you tried? Have you ever wondered if something was missing in your relationship—but couldn't explain what it was? In this episode of Invisible Loss, I share a deeply personal story about growing up feeling emotionally disconnected from my mother and how that relationship was impacted by a secret I didn't know existed. As a little girl, I longed for my mother's love and approval. I remember writing her a letter that said, "I know you don't love me. The only person that loves me is my dad." I waited for a response that never came. Years later, after discovering that the man who raised me was not my biological father, I began to understand how family secrets can quietly shape relationships, emotional connection, identity, and grief. In this episode, we explore the hidden emotional impact of a mother keeping a secret about a child's father and why so many adult children continue to carry confusion, hurt, and unanswered questions long after childhood ends. In This Episode We Discuss: • How family secrets can affect the emotional bond between mother and child • Why children often blame themselves for emotional distance • The awkwardness and discomfort that can develop in communication • How unmet emotional needs can follow us into adulthood • Why siblings may not understand your experience after a parent's death • Grieving the relationship you needed but never fully received • Understanding invisible loss and identity-based grief • Learning to stop blaming yourself for a relationship you did not create Key Takeaway Sometimes the pain isn't just about discovering the truth about your father. Sometimes it's grieving the emotional connection with your mother that never felt complete. You did not create the silence. You did not create the secret. You did not create the distance. You were simply trying to make sense of a relationship shaped by things you were never told. Reflection Questions • What messages did I learn about myself because of the relationship I had with my mother? • Did I blame myself for emotional distance that may have been beyond my control? • What am I still grieving about that relationship? • What would I say to my younger self today? The Father Who Raised Me and the Secret I Didn't Know As a little girl, I stood beside the stove watching the man I called "Daddy" fix something behind it. Years later, I discovered that the man who raised me was not my biological father. In this first episode of Invisible Loss, I share the story that started it all and explore the emotional impact of childhood intuition, hidden family secrets, identity disruption, and the invisible grief that can follow a DNA discovery. If you've ever questioned where you come from, felt different within your family, struggled with intrusive thoughts, or found yourself asking, "Who am I really?" this episode is for you. In This Episode, You'll Learn: • Why childhood intuition should not always be dismissed• How hidden family secrets can impact identity• Why discovering the truth can create grief, even when no one has died• How identity disruption affects your sense of belonging• The first steps toward healing, acceptance, and self-trust Reflection Questions: • What feelings did I have as a child that I may have dismissed?• What parts of my story changed after learning the truth?• What is true about me now?• How can I begin honoring my grief? I’m Latekia Bush — a woman who once believed I knew exactly where I came from… until I didn’t.
