<p>Pada era globalisasi ini, dunia internasional telah lama mengalami proses integritas internasional dan regional melalui pertukaran pandangan, ide, barang dan banyak aspek budaya. Tujuan utamanya adalah membuat dunia lebih sejahtera dan stabil di semua dimensi. Salah satu dampak globalisasi dapat terlihat di bidang ekonomi, dimana negara mengalami meningkatnya saling ketergantungan ekonomi dengan satu sama lain di seluruh dunia melalui peningkatan pesat dalam pergerakan barang, jasa, teknologi, dan modal lintas batas. Globalisasi tersendiri memiliki efek baik dan buruk terhadap pengaruhnya tersendiri kepada pertumbuhan ekonomi nasional suatu negara. Pada Indonesia sendiri, dampak globalisasi ini dapat terlihat kepada salah satu penopang ekonomi di Indonesia, yakni UMKM.</p> <p>Usaha Mikro Kecil Menengah atau lebih dikenal dengan nama pendeknya UMKM, adalah salah unit didalam Indonesia yang telah mengalami banyak kesulitan ataupun perubahan yang dibawa oleh globalisasi, seperti digitalisasi. UMKM tersendiri adalah salah satu usaha ekonomi produktif yang membantu membangun perekonomian nasional Indonesia. Dengan datangnya globalisasi, UMKM memiliki teknologi baru serta saingan baru dari luar negeri yang memicu UMKM nasional untuk meningkatkan kemampuan dan kualitas mereka. Oleh karena itu, episode ini ingin mengeksplorasikan dampak globalisasi terhadap UMKM serta implikasinya terhadap Indonesia di dunia internasional dengan mengundang Mba Nana Dosen HI UGM agar kita dapat berdiskusi lebih dalam.</p>

IR-Fication - Ep. 2 [INKA KOMAHI UGM] - The Implications of Health Issues Towards International Politics
<p>Throughout the history of modern society, we have seen the persistent attention on health issues that have become more political. These issues are especially prominent during the COVID-19 pandemic as we see countries utilizing the opportunity to forward their political agenda based on health issues —whether it affects health positively or negatively. As exemplified in the practice of ‘vaccine diplomacy’ by countries such as India, China, Japan, and numerous other countries. India has delivered millions of vaccines as gifts to neighbouring countries to combat the COVID-19 crisis, extending from Myanmar and Bangladesh to Mauritius and Seychelles, which has attracted much international attention and shows India’s vaccine-manufacturing capacity and international generosity. Hence, through ‘vaccine diplomacy,’ health issues are not without the aspects of politics and soft power. Thus, in this second episode of IR-Fication, the podcast have invited Mr Agus from the Global Fund to delve deep into the topic of health politics, its effect on the recent pandemic, and the implication of politics in health or vice-versa.</p>
