[…] In Luke chapter 8, we're told that a number of women were the ones who financially supported Jesus' mission. We also find in Luke chapter 10, that there's Martha and there's Mary. Martha is the sister who's running around busy, trying to cook, trying to clean, trying to get everything ready. But then there's Mary, and Mary is sitting at the feet of Jesus. She's taking the position of a disciple. She's taking the position of a learner. This would have been unheard of. And what Jesus says, he doesn't say, hey, Mary, you should get to work like Martha. This learning stuff's not for ladies. He says, Martha, you should be more like Mary. […]
