<p>In this episode we explore the topic of friendship and finding your people. We talk about how our own friendship developed, what friendship means, how this is different for everyone, and also how to go about finding your people if you haven’t found them yet. </p> <p><br></p> <p>The main takeaway we took from this episode was how finding your people is deeply routed with being true to yourself. <p>In this episode with spoke to Rowan Preece, a runner that suffered from the effects of RED-S, about his journey with identity. We spoke to him about how RED-S affected him as an individual and how it became all encompassing and stole his identity. We speak about how this has impacted Rowan today and the journey he is on to find out who he truly is. He talks about how we should give ourselves the credit we deserve for coming out of difficult times and struggles, and realise that life is a constant evolving journey. In this weeks episode we speak to Dr Sofie Kent, Senior lecturer in sports psychology at Leeds Beckett University and former sports psychologist to the Wolverhampton Wanderers. She works with a number of English Football League teams and has published research with the World Badminton Federation. We spoke about how our brains are often the muscle we leave untrained and how this can be our secret weapon. We talk about how we can all implement positive strategies into our daily lives, as well as the importance of athletes opening up about their mental health.
