An accessible daytime Zoom queer debutante ball: "Is it a date?" Ep. 4
Welcome to is it a date, the podcast where we once delved into the nuances and grey areas of a queer hang until the govt made touching each other illegal. This episode I am joined by my friend Stephanie, a chronically-ill disabled hard-of-hearing queer femme. We answer an audio query from a listener who has been receiving some very friendly-flirty messages on Instagram from a friend but can't read signals, we speak about Stephanie's experiences from living at the intersection of chronic illness and disability and queerness, especially during lock-down, about the accessibility of queer events online and IRL, and we finish up with some excellent suggestions not only for an online date but also for making your virtual events accessible. Perhaps you are one of the gays who have written to me who seems to be stuck in some kind of Sisyphean vaguely flirty daily correspondence with another queer in which case, we are here to help. If you have found yourself in this situation please email isitadatepodcast@gmail.com or fill out the google form at https://forms.gle/v7EBVvzSQyMwAqs76 or message me on Instagram @boy.florence. Alternatively, if quarantine has pushed you to uhaul with your partner, I would also love to hear from you! During lockdown, we are recording in our bedrooms with the most lo-fi of technology, iphone headphones and zoom calls, so please be patient with the audio quality. Playing the episode on low-grade speakers or headphones will make it easier to listen to.

A slow strip to Mitski on IGTV: "Is it a date?" Ep. 3
Welcome to Is it a date, a podcast where we used to delve into the nuances and grey areas of a queer hang and attempt to answer the gay question as old as time: Is it a date? , until the point where I realised that if you want to have a virtual date you have to make it clear it’s a date, otherwise it’s just another zoom meeting, and even then I’m not super convinced it’s a date. This episode I am joined by my friend Georgia (@gerrrrrrtwerrrrrr), occupational therapist and member of band Charismatic Megafauna, and fellow member of Sad Tops Club. In the episode, Georgia brings us a dilemma that is possibly the only dilemma during a pandemic where we can genuinely ask the question "is it a date?": the queer COVID-themed socially distanced erotic short story we all deserve. We also dream about a distant day after lockdown ends that sees us entering Butch Please and gazing upon the beautiful faces of our fellow queers, we chat about what it means to be trans in a lock-down (if cis people can’t see us being trans, are we still trans?), and we cover new ideas for a socially distanced date (basically, if you haven’t seen Portrait of a Lady on Fire yet, you should get yourself a subscription to Mubi asap and watch it synced up with the long-distance babe of your dreams). As usual please email isitadatepodcast@gmail.com with your dating questions, queries and concerns, or message me, florence, on insta @boy.florence and we will try to answer them on the show.

What are you getting cancelled for during quarantine?: "Is it a date?" Ep. 2
Welcome to “Is it a date?”, quarantine edition, the podcast where we delve into the nuances and grey areas of a queer hang and attempt to answer the gay question as old as time, is it a date? In this episode I am joined by professional homosexual Ez (@ezdugg) to talk about how to define a relationship during covid-19, how to make a move on a cutie at a Zoom houseparty, cute date ideas for isolation, and our quarantine style. Check out the online house parties at @queerhouseparty and remember to donate if you can, or donate directly to the Outside Project who need funds and bulk food at the moment. Please get in touch with us with your coronavirus-related dating dilemmas at isitadatepodcast@gmail.com, message @boy.florence on Instagram or follow the website link to fill out the form.
