Is My Board Ready Yet? - Ep 6 - Ian Balding - Ian Balding Customs

Ian Balding is a Cape Fear surfer, shaper, carpenter, craftsman, captain who has been designing surfboards, paddle boards, bateaus, GoPro Mounts and basically anything that floats and rides waves for many years. He still works by himself in his backyard kwanza hut when he's not providing epic excursions and buorgie adventures on and around the barrier islands of southeastern NC. Working far outside the scope of a typical backyard shaper, Ian has worked on some really cool projects with some really cool people. I was stoked to finally catch up with him after a fun surf at our local beach. www.facebook.com/ianbaldingcustoms Music: Mike Blair and the Stonewalls "Sleepin' Sundays" https://mikeblairandthestonewalls.bandcamp.com/music

Is My Board Ready Yet? - Ep 4 - Eric "Smelly" Sandin - Pickle Stix Surfboards

Eric Sandin (aka Smelly) is a local shaper based out of Los Angeles, California. He also happens to be the drummer for one of my all time favorite punk rock bands. After decades of listening to NOFX, it only recently came to my attention that he shapes surfboards, and they are called Pickle Stix. I hope you enjoy a very colorful and fun conversation with this drummer turned shaper...
