Spring Special: Nick Drake

Hello there and welcome to this Spring Special edition of Is This Prog?
In this episode I’m changing things up a little, rather than listen to an album to decide if it’s Prog or not I’m going to give you an overview of an artist I think you’ll like. Specifically, singer-songwriter Nick Drake.
Nick had a lot of crossovers with prog bands, often supporting Genesis and working with members of Fairport Convention among others. But he didn’t achieve recognition in his lifetime. Find out why that might be, as well as my thoughts on his albums, in this extended special episode.
I’ll be back with more episodes in the summer, so keep those suggestions coming in to revelationstationpodcast@gmail.com as well as letting me know what you think of this episode and the series so far.

All original music is copyright the respective artists, in this case Nick Drake and Dream Academy. If you like it please consider streaming or purchasing it.
Title music is Theme One by Van Der Graf Generator.

Join me on Patreon for just £1 a month to receive episodes a week early, as well as bonus content, or for a short term commitment why not buy me a coffee by clicking this link.
