135. Celebrando la Danza Puertorriqueña, Juan Morel Campos, y el Podcast

Estamos de fiesta en este podcast, celebrando el natalicio del "Bad Bunny” del siglo XIX, Juan Morel Campos (166 años), la Semana de la Danza Puertorriqueña y los cinco años del Isla Caribe Podcast. Para esta celebración volvemos a sentarnos con Luis Zayas, quien fue nuestro primer invitado un 16 de mayo de 2018, junto a su hermana Ingrid Zayas. Ambos son maestros y personas muy activas en la escena cultural ponceña, en especial en la escena de la danza puertorriqueña, género musical que nace en Ponce, influenciado por ritmos cubanos al mediados del siglo XIX. Conoce la historia de la danza puertorriqueña, aprende el lenguaje del abanico, y la labor de los invitados que son maestros de danza del grupo Señorio Ponceño. Este grupo se reúne todos los miércoles a las 6:30pm en el Centro Cultural Carmen Solá de Pereira en la calle Cristina en Ponce para bailar la danza puertorriqueña. Las clases son gratis y abiertas al publico en general.
