<p>Пик мирового производства и потребления пластинок пришёлся на середину 1970-х. Дальше случились магнитные кассеты, CD, Walkman, MP3 и iPod, торренты и стриминги. К середине 90-х винил оказался невыгоден лейблам: пластинки превратились в странный анахронизм, удел маньяков-коллекционеров и придирчивых диджеев. 3. Подвальные сокровищницы. Винил Северной Англии 60-х
<p>Манчестер, 60-е, в пятикомнатном подвале прячется клуб Twisted Wheel. Туда приходили люди в идеальных черных костюмах, чтобы каждую пятницу распахивать рубашки и изобретать брейк-данс под мотаунский соул. Пока остальной мир был захвачен Хендриксом, психоделическим и глэм-роком, в Twisted Wheel экспериментировали с тягучими ритмами фанка.
