<a href="https://floridathemisproject.org/get-involved" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">The Florida Themis Project</a> is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.<br /><br />Themis is the Greek Goddess of wisdom and good counsel and the interpreter of the gods’ will. She is widely recognized as the goddess of Justice.<br /><br /><b>Justice is what The Florida Themis Project is all about. </b><br /><br />We support loved ones and victims of unsolved crimes by financially contributing to various types investigative tools, including DNA testing, performed by law enforcement professionals and/or private entities to assist in resolving these unsolved cases.<br /><br />We help families of victims by assisting with awareness campaigns (e.g. billboards and printed media, flyers, podcast episodes through our partner, Palmahawk Media, LLC)<br /><br />We are also hands on... If there is a missing person in Florida and a search is being conducted The Florida Themis Project will put together a team to help!<br /><br />We believe no matter how much time has passed; everyone deserves justice and closure.<br />

<b>Kendra experienced an abusive relationship as a teen. </b><br /><b>Twenty years later she is just now realizing how bad it was...</b><br /><br />According to the <a href="https://www.cdc.gov/violenceprevention/intimatepartnerviolence/teendatingviolence/fastfact.html" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">CDC</a> teen dating violence (TDV), also called, “dating violence”, is an <a href="https://www.cdc.gov/violenceprevention/aces/fastfact.html" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">adverse childhood experience</a> that affects millions of young people in the United States. Dating violence can take place in person, online, or through technology. It is a type of <a href="https://www.cdc.gov/violenceprevention/intimatepartnerviolence/index.html" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">intimate partner violence</a> that can include the following types of behavior:<br /><ul><li><b>Physical violence</b> is when a person hurts or tries to hurt a partner by hitting, kicking, or using another type of physical force.</li><li><b>Sexual violence</b> is forcing or attempting to force a partner to take part in a sex act and or sexual touching when the partner does not consent or is unable to consent or refuse.
