Home Made Kazoku is back after a 10-year hiatus and they’ll be working on music again, so for those who grew up with Bleach, Eureka Seven, and Naruto: Shippuden, here’s your dose of nostalgia in 2026!</p> <p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>18:03:</strong> Even the Student Council Has Its Holes! will go on break due <a href="https://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2026-05-15/even-the-student-council-has-its-holes-manga-takes-break/.237302">to Muchimuro’s health</a>, but it will resume early June; Kumichi Yoshizuki announced a break from publishing the Nankai Trough Kyodai Jishin manga due to <a href="https://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2026-05-17/manga-artist-kumichi-yoshizuki-takes-break-to-focus-on-health/.237462">a good number of health ailments</a>.</p> <p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>19:33:</strong> <a href="https://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2026-05-18/actor-voice-actor-bill-wise-dies-at-61/.237465">English voice actor Bill Wise</a>, who voiced in a number of anime dub roles from Initial D: Legend to Moeyo Ken, passed away at the age of 61; <a href="https://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2026-05-21/voice-actor-takahiro-fujiwara-dies-at-43/.237598">Japanese voice actor Takahiro Fujiwara</a> passed away a few weeks ago at the age of 43 — had a number of roles in anime but while voicing the character Kan Jou (Huan Chang) in the Kingdom anime, he had to step down from the role in August last year due to health reasons; <a href="https://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2026-05-13/lupin-iii-composer-jazz-pianist-yuji-ohno-dies-at-84/.237310">Musician and composer Yuji Ohno</a> — known for the iconic opening and soundtrack of the Lupin the 3rd series — passed away due to natural causes at the age of 84.</p> <p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong>24:05:</strong> Talent agency Aoni Production announced that <a href="https://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2026-05-15/detective-conan-ran-mori-voice-actress-wakana-yamazaki-dies-at-61/.237372">Wakana Yamazaki passed away at 61</a>. She had an <a href="https://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2026-02-16/detective-conan-ran-mori-voice-actress-wakana-yamazaki-goes-on-hiatus/.234230">health ailment</a> earlier this year that was serious enough for her to stop recording episodes of Detective Conan in February. The long-time voice of Ran and her experience in the voice acting industry was a huge loss, and from her <a href="https://www.animenewsnetwork.com/interest/2026-05-16/detective-conan-cast-staff-offer-condolences-after-ran-mori-voice-actress-wakana-yamazaki-death/.237424">Conan castmates and staff</a> to <a href="https://www.animenewsnetwork.com/interest/2026-05-17/anime-manga-world-offers-condolences-for-voice-actor-wakana-yamazaki-part-ii/.237432">other talents</a> across <a href="https://www.animenewsnetwork.com/interest/2026-05-17/anime-manga-world-offers-condolences-for-voice-actor-wakana-yamazaki-death-part-iii/.237438">different industries</a>, her impact was notable and will be sorely missed.
