Join The Chubby Snowbird, a candid Gen X-er as he explores the everyday challenges of navigating today's world. From rising crime rates to inflation's impact on daily life, this podcast dives deep into the headlines and personal reflections on how it all affects us.
With a mix of humor, concern, and genuine observation, each episode offers a relatable take on the news, personal struggles, and the world as we know it. Tune in for an honest perspective from someone who's seen the world shift and is now figuring out how to adapt.
Yep, It's April 15th! I just sent Uncle Sam my left nut and routing information. Where does it go? Our tax money seemingly disappears as easily as our human waste from the magic ceramic bowl in our bathrooms! Maybe someday, someone will have the balls to clean up the decades long mess. Maybe it's DOGE, maybe not!
On the topic of cleaning up messes, are we failing at personal hygiene? C'mon, you know what I'm talking about. Folks just don't seem to get it, or care. Improper toilet technique and using the same loofah for a month... WTF is wrong with us?

Attack On Tesla; A Little Girl Murdered
Just as the title states. What is the point of attacking an automobile? Who's behind the narrative that Elon is a Nazi. Is it class warfare or targeted violence to distract us from the real issues?
Kei'Mani Latigue, a 13 year old violently killed by her own father(allegedly). Too big of a story locally here in Toledo to not mention. We must stop the senseless violence!
Horrible tragedy just as we returned from sunny SW Florida. It's like a cloud just hangs over NW Ohio.
We've been desensitized and our souls crushed. We need to rewire society. Lets figure out how to unite and love each other before tragedy strikes, instead of coming together only in times of despair.

It's Not Easy Being Green: Never Too Late to Stop Trying to Fit In!
St. Patricks Day really got me thinking of the years passed. You see, at the ripe old age of 45, this GenX-er finally understands that getting hammered on drinking holidays just isn't cool! I spent a decade in a St. Paddys loop. Every day was the same, like groundhogs day, if you can imagine being blackout drunk every single night.
In this episode I explore how and why I got stuck in the alcoholic loop. I'm sure many of you can relate, as it was tough to fit in growing up. Many of us turned to drugs and alcohol to lower our inhibitions and become the life of the party. Had we only listened to Kermit when he sang!
Some of us might still be stuck. I hope I can encourage you to break out of the substance abuse loop, as it's never too late!

Winter is Over! Turn Off The Bullshit & Go Outside
As winter fades into the rearview, it's the perfect time for a fresh start. In this episode, I dive into the significance of embracing the changing seasons and how letting go of the noise around us—especially the constant flood of divisive news.
Spring is here! The smells, the sun, the warmth, they combine to give us hope. Excitement is in the air, baseball is back- the national pastime reminds us of the opportunities we're blessed with, living in the greatest country on earth. It's OK to strike out, the most successful players in life build upon a foundation of their failures.
People from around the globe envy what we have. Folks from every corner do whatever it takes to come here, shit, the royal family of Great Britain chose America over their kingdom. What's that tell you? America is loaded with opportunity! Poor, rich, in the middle, don't let the assholes on TV tell you that we're not amazing. It's spring, anything is possible.

99 Problems but a Billionaire ain't one!
In this provocative episode of It's The New Normal, Adam flips the script on the usual villain narratives. Forget the tired trope of billionaires twirling mustaches in shadowy boardrooms- today, we're diving into why the real mischief might be coming from the halls of government. Can bloated bureaucracies combined with a nefarious media out-evil even the wealthiest of billionaires? Expect some harsh truths, a few laughs, and commentary on where the real threats to liberty and sanity lie. Spoiler: it's not always the guy with the private jet.

Overcharged: How many things do you plugin before bed?
As the day winds down, our devices need their rest too. In this episode, I dive into the world of charging—discussing all the tech gadgets we rely on that need to be plugged in. From phones and laptops to smartwatches, headphones, and even electric cars, I hope to explore how we've became shackled to our wireless gadgets over the years. Technology that was supposed to free us by unplugging, has us dependent on the plug more than ever.

United... We Stand Divided!
Enough with the constant fighting of one another, over the dumbest shit. The enemy is not the person on social media that doesn't agree with you. We will never get what we want while bickering over Grammy's, Elon, Kendrick Lamar, Superbowls, Beyonce, or Trump. United we stand, divided we fall. We move closer to falling everyday.

Just The Tip
Hey gang, in this week's episode I explore the profound and absurd tipping culture that we've grown accustomed to here in the almighty U.S.A. I've spent half my life working in the food service sector, tips have been a huge part of my life. I saved extra tips for nearly two years to fund my dream of building and opening a food truck. 10 years later, and tips are still a nice source of income for my wife and I, but even I have noticed that folks asking for tips has gotten a bit out of control. Since covid, has tipping gotten out of hand? Let's explore together!
