In Trentino überschwemmt die Apfelblüte im April die Hänge in Val die Non mit zarten Farben und berauschenden Düften und macht einen Spaziergang durch die üppigen Obstwiesen zu einem wunderbaren Erlebnis. Auf einem fünf Kilometer langen Themenwanderweg lernen Wanderer auf Tafeln entlang der Route einiges über die heimischen Apfelsorten und deren Anbau.

Närrische Zeit - Karneval in Italien
Der Karneval in Venedig ist einer der bekanntesten, aber auch einer der ältesten in Italien. Schon seit Mitte des 12. Jahrhunderts feiern dort die Menschen die närrische Zeit und ziehen jedes Jahr Millionen von Touristen in die Lagunenstadt. Highlights sind neben den Bootsparaden vor allem der Flug des Engels und die Wettbewerbe für die originellste Maske. Doch auch andernorts wird Karneval gefeiert, z.B. in Fano in der Region Marken. Bei dem zweitältesten Karneval Italiens spielt Musik eine große Rolle, allerdings nicht mit klassischen Instrumenten, sondern mit allen Gegenständen, die einen Klang erzeugen können, z.B. Töpfe, Deckel oder Blechdosen. Oder der Karneval von Cento mit seinen riesigen Festwagen, an denen zum Teil 1.000 Leute mehrere Monate arbeiten.
