Ep. 13: Ally Barrett - ITrip and I Am in Remission from Neurologic Lyme Disease

In episode 13, I interview Ally Barrett, a local woman who I initially met at our first Psychedelic Sunday meetup. We were all sharing our “psychedelic stories” and hers really intrigued me because she attributes her ability to heal from neurologic lyme disease, at least in part, to working with psilocybin mushrooms.

Interestingly, Johns Hopkins is currently enrolling by invitation for a study to look at whether psilocybin is helpful in alleviating the burden of ongoing symptoms in individuals with neurologic Lyme disease. You can learn more about it at clinicaltrials.gov.

Disclaimer: Nothing in this episode is or should be taken as medical advice. This is simply one woman’s story and is intended for informational purposes only.

Connect with Ally:

Instagram: @_the.allykat_

Ep. 12: Moms on Mushrooms - Microdosing, Macrodosing, & Motherhood

In episode 12, I interview Tracey and Anastasia from Moms on Mushrooms, a private community platform focused on education, advocacy, and connection. Tracey is the founder and steward of the organization and Anastasia is head of education and programming. Their mission is fourfold: 1) destigmatize psychedelics, especially for moms 2) promote safe, intentional and sacred use of psychedelics, 3) remain in humble service to others, always, and 4) teach and promote reciprocity, responsibility, and respect. Moms on Mushrooms offers courses exclusively for moms who are interested in learning more about microdosing or macrodosing and want to be supported on that journey.

Moms on Mushrooms has been featured on several news outlets, Good Morning America, and the Dr. Phil Show. These moms are constantly advocating for how mushrooms, specifically microdosing, can help moms become better moms. As a mom, I agree and fully support their mission and am so excited to have them both on the ITrip podcast.

In this episode we talk about everything from breaking stigma, how microdosing and macrodosing can be an ally for moms, what Moms on Mushrooms has to offer, healing ancestral trauma, talking to kids about drugs, and more.

Disclaimer: nothing in this episode is or should be taken as medical advice as medical advice. Ep. 11: Emefa Boamah - Psychedelics and Embodiment

In episode 11, I interview Emefa Boamah, a multi-certified women’s life and business coach with a focus on healing and leading through embodiment. She also does preparation and integration work for an amazing organization called Illuminating Heros, (previously Heroic Path to Light) which helps veterans and their families heal through working with psychedelics. At her core, she is a medicine woman and priestess hailing from the Ewe Tribe of Ghana. Emefa draws upon her Ghanian lineage, her personal experience as a trauma survivor, and professional training in her work as an embodiment coach.

Emefa shares how a near death experience following Covid and working with psychedelics have played pivotal roles in her personal and professional journeys. We also touch on the importance of minority voices in the psychedelic space.

Disclaimer: nothing in this episode is or should be taken as medical advice as medical advice.
