About your host Pete Rushmer; I’m Pete Rushmer – founder of Flagship Partners and now TEDx Speaker and Coach. I am someone who’s been in the thick of it: growing businesses, leading teams, and learning (sometimes the hard way) that success can feel pretty lonely at the top. That’s why I created INSLATT – a podcast for business owners, leaders and high-performers who want to thrive without burning out. Each week, I dive into real, unfiltered conversations with inspiring guests and share lessons I’ve picked up from my own journey through corporate chaos, entrepreneurial graft, and the pursuit of something greater. If you’re hungry for personal growth, bold leadership, and connection with people who just get it, then you’re in the right place. Because the truth is; it’s not so lonely at the top… when we talk about it and share our experiences.

S1 Ep25 Meet Dillon Dhanecha - Founder of Purposeful Property Project

What does real wealth look like when you started with the bank balance of a refugee family? On this episode of It's Not So Lonely at the Top, Pete Rushmer sits down with Dillon Dhanecha, the entrepreneur behind a social housing business built on one belief: housing is the foundation of human potential. Dillon shares how his mum's generosity and his dad's philosophical mind shaped him. He explains why his toughest lesson had nothing to do with risk or probability, and everything to do with the inner work. He also makes the case that adaptability, not confidence, is what real resilience looks like. They tackle money, meaning and legacy, and why leaders should be watching institutional consolidation now. Build like a giant. Think like a human. Bio for Dillon Dillon Dhanecha is an entrepreneur and founder of Purposeful Property Project, a social housing business tackling one of society's most fundamental problems: a safe, stable place to call home. He grew up in a refugee family. His mother's generosity, his father's philosophical outlook and early financial hardship shaped his belief that success means service. Dillon's mission is to find a problem worth solving and devote his life to creating the conditions that help solve it. For him, that problem is housing, which he sees as the foundation of human actualisation. He builds for the long term and leads by one principle: build like a giant, think like a human. 🎧 Perfect for listeners interested in:Entrepreneurship, service business growth, leadership, scaling trades businesses, wellbeing strategies, and building a high-performance team. Man's Search for Meaning: 5 Leadership Lessons From Viktor Frankl

What keeps a leader going when the pressure hits and nothing goes to plan? In this episode, Pete Rushmer explores the timeless lessons of Viktor Frankl's Man's Search for Meaning and what they mean for business owners, directors and leaders today. S1 Ep24 Meet Natalie Goodson - Director at Robert J Goodson Ltd

Fairness, Flexibility & the Future of Fleet Insurance with Natalie Goodson Description Natalie Goodson has spent 32 years in general insurance the last two decades of it specialising in transport and logistics and she didn't slow down to get there. She earned her ACII chartered qualification while working full-time, building technical depth in policy wording, contractual liability, cargo compliance, and fleet risk mitigation the hard way: on the job, under pressure, one renewal at a time. In this episode, Natalie takes us inside a transport insurance market that's changed shape fast. The number of primary insurers has shrunk, and specialist MGAs have stepped into the gap which means brokers now juggle more agencies just to give clients the same access they used to get from a handful of insurers. She unpacks what that shift actually means for anyone buying fleet or cargo cover, and where AI is starting to earn its place in the business: drafting policy wording and health & safety paperwork in plain English is a genuine win, while customer-facing chatbots are, more often than not, still failing the people who need real answers. But this conversation goes well beyond market mechanics. Natalie runs a business that carries its founder's name and talks candidly about the pressure of protecting a legacy that isn't just a brand, but a reputation people trust with their livelihoods. Her leadership principle is simple and non-negotiable: fairness governs how claims get handled and how client expectations get managed, full stop. She also walks through her team's shift to a flexible, part-time workforce the wellbeing upside of being able to flex hours around holidays and sickness, weighed honestly against the real scheduling complexity and coverage gaps it creates. On the personal side, Natalie shares the "Let Them" approach she uses to stop burning energy on decisions she can't control, why she deliberately blocks time to work on the business rather than getting swallowed by it, and how much she's come to value being part of a peer group rather than figuring it all out alone. Her advice to young professionals entering the industry is refreshingly unfiltered: commit, listen, enjoy. And on what actually drives performance in a team, she's clear that motivation beats discipline every time. Whether you're in transport, insurance, or just building a business that has to hold its founder's name up every single day, this episode is packed with hard-won, practical insight from someone who's lived it for three decades. In this episode: Building technical mastery in insurance while working full-time Why the transport insurance market is consolidating around MGAs — and what it means for brokers and buyers Where AI genuinely helps (paperwork) and where it's still falling short (customer service) Leading a business that carries someone else's name and legacy Fairness as the organising principle behind every claims decision The trade-offs of a flexible, part-time team structure The "Let Them" approach to protecting your energy Working on the business, not just in it Advice for young professionals: commit, listen, enjoy Why motivation outperforms discipline in building an engaged team About Natalie GoodsonNatalie Goodson is a chartered insurance professional (ACII) with 32 years in general insurance, specialising in transport and logistics. Her technical expertise spans policy wording analysis, contractual liability, cargo compliance, and fleet risk mitigation, built over decades of hands-on broking in a rapidly evolving market. 🎧 Perfect for listeners interested in:Entrepreneurship, service business growth, leadership, scaling trades businesses, wellbeing strategies, and building a high-performance team.
