Karen started her journey by posting faceless videos on Instagram and has always set the goal of making VF a platform to share her foodventures, travel and lifestyle. On top of her passion for creating content, she also has a day job which many wonder: how does she do it?!
On the personal side, Karen shared how she used to practice negative self-talk and what helped her change and discover what “self-love” truly means beyond the cliché. Hajar Al-Amere aka NASA girl: The First Bruneian Who Went To NASA
This week I sit down with Hajar Hassnen Al-Amere, aptly known as the NASA girl because she is the first Bruneian who went to/interned at the world’s most iconic space agencies: NASA! 😱🚀🚀🚀
I heard about her stellariffic journey on University of Brunei Darussalam's instagram post a year ago and immediately knew I had to have her on the show to hear how she got there from the woman herself! At the time of recording this episode, she was still waiting for graduation — a Chemistry major at the UBD Faculty of Science! — which she has since and now just started her masters!
Listening to her story, I felt pretty proud of her personal accomplishments and her as a Bruneian youth; from making a good impression on her mentor and peers (who are, according to her, bigshots!), meeting the Artemis II crew (science nerds wya), what her day-to-day at the Jet Propulsion Lab was like, and so much more! Alwie Salleh aka Wee Fishing: Foreigners pay thousands to go fishing in Brunei
In this episode, I sit down with one of the most requested guest this season: Alwie Salleh aka Wee Fishing! Alwie is a YouTuber who creates content around fishing with about 15k subscribers. As an artist himself, he shares how all creative acts share a similar discipline. His love for content creation led him to an incredible offer from RTB to produce a documentary.
He also shares how sport fishing is different than normal fishing. He has been brand ambassadors to several fishing brands, even getting invited to compete in China to represent Brunei in which he won USD3,000 for getting 4th place.
