'Best In America'--Is that what this podcast is? Probably not, BUT Johnson Highschool is! In this podcast, your host Melynn Cunningham will be deep-diving into what makes Johnson Highschool "BIA-baby!" by interviewing teachers, coaches, staff, and other students that contribute to that jaguar pride.
We've all passed by the enormous windows displaying the career classes on the first floor, and if you're anything like me, you're curious and slightly jealous of the fun they seem to be having. Well, you're in luck because in this episode, Melynn interviews the beloved architecture teacher Mrs.Cornic and her two most involved students, Tanner & Janette, where they talk about all the adventures this course allowed them to endure.

(19) Breaking Records (& Elevators) with the Basketball Boys
We all know them, we all love (SCREAMING at the top of our lungs for) them... the most talented group of players in our district forming a team that brought the Buda community closer by defying all odds ... that's right, in today's episode Melynn interviews a few of the playoff stars from the JHS Boys Basketball team (https://www.instagram.com/jhs.jagshoops/). We already couldn't deny their skill on the court, but after listening to this episode, you won't deny their connection as a team either. Huge shoutout to Faheem Baghezza (https://www.instagram.com/fa.b34/), Samuel McKinney (https://www.instagram.com/sammck1nn3y/) & Quinton Hairston (https://www.instagram.com/qhairston7/) for sharing their point of view on this jaw-dropping season.

(18) An Essential Discussion About Eating Disorders
TW: This episode contains content discussing experiencing an eating disorder, depression, and OCD. Although this topic may be seen as taboo or tacky, ignorance about the psychological signs and consequential physical effects can be life-threatening. Yes, Jaguar Hour is a high school-based Podcast, but high school is also the most naive and influential part of adolescent life. Anorexia nervosa has the highest death rate of any psychiatric illness, and about 28.8 million Americans will have an eating disorder in their lifetime. Being part of that statistic, Melynn Cunningham is grateful to be joined by Julia Fender and Gisell De Alejandro to shine a light on National Eating Disorder Awareness Week.

If you ever need someone to talk to or ask questions, feel free to message me on Instagram (https://www.instagram.com/melyynnnnn/). I specifically struggled with Orthorexia, but am always open to support.
